The Aqua Filter BBF102DFBLP dual water filter system treats water in two consecutive activated carbon stages and is designed for installation on the cold-water supply in residential and commercial premises. The first filter combines granular activated carbon made from coconut shells with KDF-55, while the second is a solid Carbon Block filter with a nominal rating of 5 microns. This treatment helps reduce chlorine, organic compounds, certain heavy metals, iron and hydrogen sulfide, as well as substances that affect taste and odour.

The metal filter housing has two pressure gauges to monitor pressure before and after the filters, as well as pressure-relief valves. KDF-55 inhibits bacterial growth within the filter media itself; it does not disinfect the water or remove pathogenic microorganisms.
