The Aqua Filter BB102PS20BLP water filter system is designed for installation on the main water supply of homes and commercial premises. It filters the water in two successive stages. The first filter, made of melt-blown polypropylene, captures dirt, sand, rust, sludge, sediment and suspended solids with a nominal rating of 20 microns. The second, solid carbon block filter helps reduce chlorine, unwanted odors and tastes, organic compounds and VOCs.

The Big Blue twin filter housing has a metal bracket and pressure gauges to monitor pressure before and after filtration. The replacement filters are monitored and replaced separately: the polypropylene filter every 6–12 months or up to 18,000 liters, and the activated carbon filter every 6–12 months or up to 83,000 liters, whichever limit is reached first. The system is intended for cold water and is not designed to remove bacteria or viruses.
