For the main cold-water supply, the Aqua Filter BB20BLP water filter system combines a 20″ Big Blue filter housing with a replacement Carbon Block activated carbon filter. The filter has a nominal rating of 5 microns and helps reduce free chlorine, volatile organic compounds, unwanted tastes and unpleasant odours. The built-in pressure gauge helps monitor pressure, while the pressure-relief valve allows pressure and trapped air to be released before opening the filter housing.
The filter housing has a blue plastic sump and a head with 1″ BSP female brass threads. The filter is intended for use with cold water and has a recommended service life of 6 to 12 months or a capacity of 160,000 litres under specified test conditions. After installation and each filter change, flush the system until the water runs clear.
