The Aten CL3000N KVM console combines a 19″ LCD monitor with a keyboard and touchpad for use as a front console with compatible KVM switches. Its dual interface supports connecting computers with a PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse, while video resolution reaches up to 1280 x 1024 at 75 Hz.

The LED backlighting on the monitor, keyboard and touchpad makes the console easier to use in low-light conditions, while the monitor’s backlighting helps save energy. The front USB port supports hot-plugging a mouse and also functions as a USB peripheral port. The console supports DDC2B and DDC emulation for automatic adjustment of each computer’s display settings.

The Slideaway sliding housing is slightly less than 1U high and features upper and lower clearances for smooth operation in a 1U rack space. Its depth is adjustable to fit the rack. Firmware upgrades are supported, as is computer management from an external console with a monitor and a USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse. The console lock lets you securely close the console when it is not in use.
