The Celestron 94107 variable polarizing filter adjusts the brightness of celestial objects such as the Moon, Venus, and certain double stars. Light transmission can be adjusted from 1% to 40% by rotating the lower ring, without changing the object’s color. This adjustment reveals lunar details and can darken the blue sky background when observing planets during the day.
The filter screws onto 1.25” eyepieces and is threaded on both sides, allowing it to be connected in series with other filters. It is also suitable for astrophotography.
