The Aten KH1532A KVM switch enables control of up to 32 directly connected computers from a PS/2 or USB KVM console, using Cat 5e or Cat 6 cabling and RJ-45 connections. By daisy-chaining up to 31 additional switches, a single central console can control up to 1024 computers. It supports mixed PS/2 and USB configurations at the console and computer ends.

Ports can be selected using the front-panel buttons, a keyboard shortcut, or the multilingual OSD. The identity, port name, operating system, and keyboard language are retained when servers are moved to other ports, and access permissions can be set for each port.
