Allows the connection of a mouse or keyboard with a PS/2 plug to a USB port.
See full descriptionThe Powertech CAB-U020 adapter connects a USB-A port to a PS/2 female connector. It is passive and green.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Users mainly report that the adapter does not work for connecting a PS/2 keyboard to a USB port. They also point out that it is a simple adapter, not a signal converter, so compatibility depends on the device.
I wonder why this product was released.
There is no chance, not even 1/1000000, that you can make a PS/2 mouse or keyboard work on a USB port.
I bought it because it was cheap and I thought maybe... but no...
Attention, it is a converter, it does not convert the signal from PS2 to USB, so a signal adapter is needed.
Therefore, it cannot make a PS2 keyboard work with USB (so I don't know what its use is).
I tried it on two different keyboards, but it didn't work on either. I threw it away because it's not worth the trouble to return it due to its price.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. It was tested on the Logitech Internet 350 keyboard. I have tried 4 different adapters for this keyboard and only one worked. The test was conducted on 2 different computers:
1) on a desktop computer with Windows 7 (ASRock H61M motherboard)
2) on a laptop computer with Windows 10 (ACER EXTENSA 2540-51H1 notebook)
