The Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition is the second game in the Darksiders series and specifically is the remastered version of Darksiders 2. In short, it is a very interesting game with a nice plot, rich and equally engaging lore. I should emphasize at this point that I did not purchase the game but downloaded it for free as it was available as a PS Plus game for December 2017; however, I believe it is worth the 15-16 or roughly 20€ that the title ranges at. More specifically:
-Story: We are in a time where the Apocalypse has occurred and now the human race has been destroyed following the battle of angels and demons. Amidst all this, the protagonist of the game, Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, tries to vindicate his brother War, who is unjustly accused by the council of ancient beings of having deliberately brought about the Apocalypse prematurely and consequently the destruction of humanity. The story is very interesting and original, but to fully understand it, anyone interested should have either played or followed a walkthrough of Darksiders (the first title). This may be a downside as I only fully understood the story after reading the plot of the first game.
-Gameplay: Objectively, the game shows somewhat its age, having been released in 2012, and despite the remaster, the design and characters of the game look like they "escaped" from WorldOfWarcraft, there are many points where the game struggles to perform on the PS4 as I encountered many frame drops (screen freezes) and bugs, one of which prevented me from finishing a boss fight, although I eventually managed. So in 2018, there are definitely "prettier" and more polished remasters on the market. Nevertheless, as for the duration, I would say that the game is satisfactory, especially if someone engages with the side quests, reaching about a month of gameplay. At the same time, it is worth mentioning that the powers that Death has are particularly fun, which can be upgraded after each level, as well as the puzzles it offers (some of which require special thought, so patience).
In conclusion, Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition is certainly not one of the best or flawless remasters out there, but at this price, it definitely offers a unique experience that those who did not purchase the title at its initial release or those interested in games with rich lore and original storyline can enjoy. Admittedly, this particular game drew my attention to the Darksiders series and made me look forward to the release of Darksiders 3.

-Story: We are in a time where the Apocalypse has occurred and now the human race has been destroyed following the battle of angels and demons. Amidst all this, the protagonist of the game, Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, tries to vindicate his brother War, who is unjustly accused by the council of ancient beings of having deliberately brought about the Apocalypse prematurely and consequently the destruction of humanity. The story is very interesting and original, but to fully understand it, anyone interested should have either played or followed a walkthrough of Darksiders (the first title). This may be a downside as I only fully understood the story after reading the plot of the first game.
-Gameplay: Objectively, the game shows somewhat its age, having been released in 2012, and despite the remaster, the design and characters of the game look like they "escaped" from WorldOfWarcraft, there are many points where the game struggles to perform on the PS4 as I encountered many frame drops (screen freezes) and bugs, one of which prevented me from finishing a boss fight, although I eventually managed. So in 2018, there are definitely "prettier" and more polished remasters on the market. Nevertheless, as for the duration, I would say that the game is satisfactory, especially if someone engages with the side quests, reaching about a month of gameplay. At the same time, it is worth mentioning that the powers that Death has are particularly fun, which can be upgraded after each level, as well as the puzzles it offers (some of which require special thought, so patience).
In conclusion, Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition is certainly not one of the best or flawless remasters out there, but at this price, it definitely offers a unique experience that those who did not purchase the title at its initial release or those interested in games with rich lore and original storyline can enjoy. Admittedly, this particular game drew my attention to the Darksiders series and made me look forward to the release of Darksiders 3.
Το Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition,πρόκειται για το δεύτερο παιχνίδι της σειράς Darksiders και συγκεκριμένα είναι η remastered μορφή του Darksiders 2.Εν ολίγοις πρόκειται για ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον παιχνίδι με ωραία πλοκή,πλούσιο και εξίσου ενδιαφέρον lore.Να τονίσω σε αυτό το σημείο πως δεν αγόρασα το παιχνίδι αλλά το κατέβασα δωρεάν καθώς ήταν διαθέσιμο ως Ps Plus παιχνίδι για τον Δεκέμβρη του 2017,ωστόσο θεωρώ πως αξίζει τα 15-16 ή χοντρικά τα 20€ στα οποία κυμαίνεται ο τίτλος.Αναλυτικότερα:
-Ιστορία:Βρισκόμαστε σε μία εποχή όπου η Αποκάλυψη έχει συμβεί και πλέον το ανθρώπινο γένος έχει καταστραφεί ύστερα από τη μάχη των αγγέλων και των δαιμόνων.Μέσα σε όλα αυτά ο πρωταγωνίστης του παιχνιδιού,ο Θάνατος ένας απο τους τέσσερις καβαλάρηδες της Αποκάλυψης,προσπαθεί να αθωώσει τον αδερφό του τον Πόλεμο,ο οποιός αδίκως κατηγορείται,από το συμβούλιο των αρχαίων πλασμάτων,πως επίτηδες έφερε πρόωρα την αποκάλυψη και κατ'επέκταση την καταστροφή των ανθρώπων.Η ιστορία είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα και προτότυπη,όμως για να γίνει πλήρως κατανοητή θα πρέπει πρώτα όποιος ενδιαφέρεται να έχει είτε παίξει είτε πατακολουθήσει σε κάποιο walkthrough το Darksiders(τον πρώτο τίτλο).Ίσως αυτό να αποτελέσει ένα μελανό σημείο καθώς κι εγώ κατάλαβα εξ'ολοκήρου την ιστορία αφού διάβασα την πλοκή του πρώτου.
-Gameplay:Αντικειμενικά το παιχνίδι δείχνει κάπως την ηλικία του,κυκλοφόρησε το 2012,και παρά το remaster ,το design και τους χαρακτήρες του παιχνιδιού που μοιάζουν σαν να το "έσκασαν"από το WorldOfWarcraft υπάρχουν πολλά σημεία που το παιχνίδι δυσκολεύεται να ανταπεξέλθει στο PS4 αφού συνάντησα πολλά framedrops(κολλήματα στην οθόνη της τηλεόρασης) και bugs,ένα από τα οποία δεν με άφηναν να τελειώσω ένα boss fight,αν και εν τέλει τα κατάφερα.Οπότε εν έτη 2018 πλέον σίγουρα υπάρχουν "ομορφότερα"και πιο μελετημένα/προσεγμένα remasters στην αγορά.Παρ'όλα αυτά,όσο αναφορά την διάρκεια θα έλεγα πως το παιχνίδι είναι ικανοποιητικό,ιδίως αν ασχοληθεί κάποιος με τα sidequests,φτάνοντας περίπου τον ένα μήνα παιχνιδιού.Συγχρόνως,αξίζει να αναφέρω πως ιδιαίτερα διασκεδαστικές είναι και οι δυνάμεις που έχει ο Θάνατος,οι οποίες μέτα από κάθε level μπορούν να αναβαθμιστούν,καθώς και τα puzzles που προσφέρει(μερικά από αυτά απαιτούν ιδιαίτερη σκέψη,οπότε υπομονή).
Συμπερασματικά,το Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition σίγουρα δε πρόκειται για ένα από τα καλύτερα ή αψεγάδιαστα remasters που κυκλοφορούν εκεί έξω,όμως σε αυτή τη τιμή αποτελεί σίγουρα μια ξεχωριστή εμπειρία που μπορούν να απολαύσουν εκείνοι που δεν αγόρασαν τον τίτλο στην αρχική του κυκλοφορία ή εκείνοι που ενδιαφέρονται για παιχνίδια με πλούσιο lore και προτότυπο σενάριο.Ομολογουμένως το συγκεριμένο παιχνίδι μου έστρεψε το βλέμμα στη σειρά Darksiders και με έκανε να προσδοκώ τη κυκλοφορία του Darksiders 3.
The first game had a character and a nice story. The second had both of those but still was mediocre. At one point, it showed a bug and I didn't even finish it.
Το πρώτο παιχνίδι είχε ένα χαρακτήρα και μία ωραία ιστορία. Το δεύτερο είχε και από αυτά αλλά παρόλα αυτά ήταν μέτριο. Εμένα σε κάποια φάση εμφάνισε bug και δε το τελείωσα καν.
