I had it for almost 1 year, one day my laptop got stuck, I unplugged it from the USB port and it immediately broke.

For years I have mainly been using Toshiba, but for some reason the latest generations of Canvio don't seem as high quality and are a bit noisy. I hope at least they last over time, as I mainly use them for backup and so far everything is good.

4 stars because they put a 10 cm cable and I need to put it on something to reach the TV. Ridiculous. Get a longer cable because this one doesn't reach anywhere

After one year of use, the 3TB with minimal usage simply stopped working! I lost all my files, such a shame

I bought this specific hard drive because I liked that it didn't require an external power source. It was 3 terabytes and I found it at a very good price from a store on Skroutz. It is fast, durable, doesn't slip at all, and the cable is small and works great. I am very satisfied. I bought two Toshiba Canvio Basics 3 Terabyte hard drives from a store, as I mentioned, on Skroutz for 190 euros

15 days in my possession, it entered a front USB 3.0 port, I transferred data between computers, and I have filled it up about 2/3.
Absolutely no complaints.
It does what it's supposed to do.

I am also an owner of a Toshiba Stor.e 1TB, and the reliability of the latter was my guide for purchasing this specific disk.

If I could find something negative, it would be the length of the cable (and on both disks, the older one is even shorter). However, this does not bother me. But it may bother some people, so be careful!
It sounds slightly when it starts up. And speaking of starting up, I should mention that after 1-2 minutes of inactivity, it shuts down on its own and takes 3-4 seconds to turn back on.

Very good for the simple task I wanted, which is to gather all movies, series, and music on one disk and have easy connection from PC to portable devices, etc. Now, if I wanted to run programs, then I would probably consider it a bit slow.
With Windows 7 and 10, but only 64-bit systems that I have connected it to, I haven't encountered any problems. However, there may be compatibility issues with older systems.

Bought it a month and something ago for a friend of mine! Indeed, the actual capacity is about 2.7Tb. The problem is that my friend wants it only for movies on a Samsung 24" TV and it doesn't show up at all! It shows that it's working (the light turns on, etc.) but on the TV, nothing! My own 1tb wd is recognized by the TV without any issues. So, no problem there!
However, it works perfectly and satisfactorily fast on my laptop where I have stored movies. We tried it on 2 desktops at our workplace's reception and it doesn't work there either! Again, it works on a second laptop!
The store where I bought it told me that they haven't encountered this issue before and they refused to exchange it since it's now used!
Therefore, based on what I know, I suspect there is a compatibility issue.
