Desyllas’ Kyvolexo word board game includes 20 letter cubes, a cup, an hourglass and a score pad. Each round, players roll the cubes and form Greek words horizontally or vertically, as in a crossword, within the time allowed by the hourglass. Words must be found in the dictionary; names, abbreviations and foreign words are not allowed.
The game includes three jokers, each of which can replace one letter. If a joker is used in two words, it represents the same letter in both. Scores are calculated based on the points assigned to each letter: letters used in two words count double, while points are deducted for unused letters. Players decide how many rounds to play and the order of play; the winner is the player with the highest score.
