I have purchased this specific essential oil for cold sores. It may sound strange to you, but as soon as I feel one coming on, I apply it locally by gently rubbing it on the affected area and let it work. I repeat this 2-3 times a day. Before applying it, I clean the area with lukewarm water. And yet, it works better than pharmacy creams. It kills the virus and stops the outbreak in about 2 days. CAUTION! Lemon essential oil should be used with caution on the skin. Normally, it is not used undiluted, but if you apply it carefully only on the affected area, there won't be a problem. Also, be careful with the sun, as direct exposure for a long time can cause sunburn in the area where the oil is applied.

I did not use it with the ceramic base, but I dropped a few drops in water to simmer and I was quite satisfied. Especially after cooking, the house smells like lemon!

Nice refreshing lemon scent! I mix it with white vinegar and use it as a fabric softener in the washing machine! I also tried it in an oil burner as a room fragrance, very invigorating! If I find an easy blend, I will also try it as a personal fragrance for myself :)
