Description

...now that you've turned eighteen and are starting what you've always longed for, your own life, listen to a couple of things that I’ve understood from my own life.
Some of these I've told you before, but most you will hear for the first time. They are not advice, I know, you’ve grown tired of them. Let’s say it’s a manual, like those you find in the box of your new phone.

Don't get upset, I know you can handle phones like a pro, you don’t need instructions. But the lives of adults, you really do, believe me. Now that you're leaving home, you’re changing levels, just like back in your electronic games. This new level is tough. You need to survive it with dignity, otherwise, you will live a life that isn’t worth living.

So keep this little silly book, it might come in handy someday, who knows...
It is written with love, with guilt, with hopes, with fear for you, with trust in you. Because you are a good kid and the society we hand over to you is merciless. Remember that the world around you is dirty, but there is always clean water to wash your face. Never stop looking for it...

Review this product
  • I bought it as a gift. I have already given it as a gift to 4 people and recommended it to many others whom I value or to patients. An anthology of sound reasoning, insightful commentary, advice for avoiding mistakes, and timeless wisdom. The writing is comprehensible, concise, and flows effortlessly. Excellent for teenagers and young people (I imagine their surprise when they receive a book as a gift). The author's superior intelligence/culture and familiarity with writing are evident. Get another copy in case you lose the first one. I think I made myself clear...
