It was purchased to replace an older 1600Watt one from Lidel that worked for 14 years as a hobby until the blade support broke. The Oregon took down a 21-year-old 10-meter, 1.60-meter diameter oak tree. The job was done easily as it is soft wood. Superior to the old one, the weight in hand is almost the same but faster and more precise in the cuts. The integrated grinding stone is a great convenience.

Good machine for amateur use. Definitely needs a 16-amp fuse as others have mentioned. It blows a 10-amp fuse. The downside is that it takes a while to drain the oil every time you fill it up, and the oil flow gets clogged with use. There are videos on YouTube showing the problem. You have to remove the chain and bar, clean it, and run it until it drains oil again before putting them back on. Also, it requires an expensive chain that needs to be replaced after about 10 pulls of the lever for 4 seconds

This means that the current drops in the sockets with a 10A fuse and the machine doesn't work. The same applies to the TRIMMER, if you want to get a big one. You will need to invest in an expensive one with at least 15 amperes and probably a thick cable.

I have a gasoline-powered one and I wanted an electric one for some light work (that's what electric ones are intended for).
