If you want a simple wifi access point, this is not it. Go for a simple tplink instead.
This specific product is 10 levels above any simple AP.
- You can make it function as a simple AP.
- You can make it a PPPoE client for your internet and route all traffic through it.
- You can assign rules for download and upload and avoid bufferbloat.
- You can create multiple APs by creating virtual APs, allowing you to have separate networks for different uses. Useful for guests who consume a lot of bandwidth.
- You can even set up a hotspot service (useful in cafes, hotels, etc.).
- You can make it a client to another wifi and get internet through the Ethernet.

This device is like a Swiss army knife.
And because it supports scripting, you can do almost anything you want with it.
If you bought it and are confused about its configuration, send me an email at [email protected]. Let me know exactly what you want to do with it,
and as long as you're not a company, I'll help you for free.

Keep learning.

It didn't work for one and a half months, it gave up the ghost.
Purchase was made on 30/07/2024, I sent a return request on 12/09/2024.
I put the Access Point in the Skroutz locker on 03/09/2024.
In the end, I did a real TECHNICAL CHECK on it and fixed it with 0.77 euros, there is a related photo.

And since we are talking about Mikrotik, if someone wants a simple Access Point to do its job, they should buy something else; if they want to learn about networks and practice, only Mikrotik with RouterOS.
Prefer a model with an external antenna, not devices with the antenna on the board.

I was very satisfied with the first one that took the settings immediately. This is the 2nd one I bought, It doesn't reset at all, I've been struggling for 2 days to get it to work and it just refuses. It's too cheap to return it. I just lost my money

For the target audience and for its price, it is excellent. It runs RouterOS smoothly, just like Mikrotik's more expensive products, with the disadvantage of having a weak processor. As for the configuration, one will need at least basic networking knowledge to fully utilize it beyond the default settings it comes with.

Excellent choice under €30, I have 2 (one of them I made a repeater), using the other as an AP covers the needs of a small house in terms of Wi-Fi both inside and outside. It has many configuration options to do whatever you want, complex router OS that requires knowledge in Mikrotik network environment, but also fast installation as an AP, great value for money for what it offers and of course stability. I downloaded the Mikrotik app on IOS for basic changes, but using the winbox is much more convenient for configuration.

Although its processor is not particularly powerful, so theoretically it can support some additional functions, in practice it "struggles", it deserves the 5 stars given its price and category (it is lite, and it meets that expectation and more). It is perfect for someone starting with MikroTik and RouterOS.

Maybe one of the best and cheapest I have bought. Much better range than the more expensive tp-link I had, smaller in size, with extra ports compared to the previous one that didn't have them, it has internal antennas which is obviously better. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase, I should note that it also has very easy setup for whatever you need. Time will tell, I have it for one day

  • Very convenient with RouterOS which is open source and has many capabilities, of course it is for knowledgeable people and to get the most out of the device you will need other Mikrotik devices because there are protocols and capabilities that you can only take advantage of if its collaboration is with other Mikrotik devices, VFM.

Unbelievable pocket powerhouse with full RouterOS! I wonder why I was paying a hundred bucks for "good" APs until now! The only downside is the limited number of ports, but at this price, it doesn't matter. As others have already mentioned, it's not aimed at the average user.
