I had bought it for my first child and I was generally satisfied. The battery "died" in both units towards the end of its use and they only worked with electricity. I bought it again after 5.5 years for the baby and it is already due for retirement in less than 6 months. Not good range in a two-story house. It doesn't pick up low sounds, especially when the lullabies are playing. It goes into standby mode very quickly and needs to be restarted if it's been on for hours. The worst thing that happened to us is that it woke the baby up on another floor, crying very loudly. We heard it by chance while going down the stairs and we didn't hear anything from the monitor. So we stopped using it immediately.
As for the pros (as long as it works), good battery life, the light on the baby monitor, and the lullabies.

For its price, it is very good. The truth is that as far as range is concerned, I would not recommend it for a two-story house. Its music is amazing, my son is 3.5 years old and we keep it just for him to listen to before going to sleep. The cables are very sensitive, I have changed them twice and if you use it with batteries, you need to charge or change them every 4 days.

Everything is fine, but it frequently loses signal, in not such a big house, to be precise in adjacent rooms, and the noise it makes to notify you that the connection is lost wakes you up in the middle of the night.

However, what good are all these if once you're out of warranty, it cannot be repaired at all? The company's policy is that it considers it a small device and disposable, therefore not repairable. Let's accept that it's a machine and it can break, they could at least incentivize with a new purchase by offering a good discount. <<Unacceptable>>. The device was purchased about three years ago. The two devices no longer synchronize with each other. The response that it cannot be repaired came from Philips service. As for the staff, they are truly very helpful and polite in every sense of the word.

3rd child to pass through this device and it's going for the 4th. Of course, not all of them are ours. :-) From friend to friend and it continues. Clear sound, the lullabies and the light it has saved us and has great range. The child is on the top floor, we are in the garden and it sounds perfect.

Good construction. The lullabies are very useful. I have a small house and most of the time I first listen to the baby and then it is heard from the device as it goes into "idle" after a few seconds. Several disadvantages: you cannot put a lullaby from the parent unit and it does not have a duration option, if the lullaby is playing it is difficult to hear the baby (which is logical..). It is useful that you can also speak from the parent unit. I don't know if there is something better on the market. Overall, I am satisfied.
