Since 2012, I had heard that Journey had swept everything - IGN Awards, Video Game Awards, and many more! I wanted to try it so badly, but I didn't have a Playstation, and until recently it was a PS exclusive (coming soon to PC). Years passed, I bought a PS4, but I didn't forget it and still wanted to play to find out what this game that everyone loved had! I finally downloaded it from the PS Store for 14 euros.
The game is simply magical while at the same time being one of the simplest games one can play. The gameplay is so well done that it conveys the message it wants without a single word throughout the game, and I believe that is what "ties" you to it. There is no one to explain anything to you, neither written nor spoken, and yet you understand everything through pure gameplay.
The multiplayer is equally simple and beautiful. You find a fellow traveler and continue your journey together, helping each other. There is no chat or any way to communicate with the other player, except for the sounds of your characters. In fact, you don't even know their name; you'll learn it at the end of the game! For me, the first time, don't connect to the internet and enjoy the game in single player to explore it all at your leisure!
Indeed, it is a very worthwhile game that leaves you with a beautiful feeling (or bittersweet, depending on how you take it). It's worth playing and experiencing what it has to offer. The music is amazing, the landscapes magical, and you will definitely have a pleasant time.
As I reach the end of the review, and while I only have good things to say about Journey, I can't help but mention its only drawback - it's very short! I downloaded it on Sunday morning, and by late afternoon, I had completed it three times: once in single player, once to collect all the collectibles in multiplayer for company, and once as transcended after I had gathered everything! I know that indie titles are not particularly large, but still, I found it desperately short to the point where I can say I'm glad I paid 14 euros for the download from the store and not 28, which it costs on DVD at the moment. If you get it from the store or find it even cheaper, it is definitely worth having in your collection!

First of all, I want to say that under no circumstances is it worth 20-25 euros that it is being sold for at this moment. I finished it in a few hours and I got it for free from PS Plus. So, excluding its extremely short duration, the story that objectively makes no sense unless you sit down to read the stars, its beautiful graphics, the mystical style of music, and the fact that by the time you meet another traveler you might have already noticed it from the boredom of loneliness... then it has some small things that draw you in. Essentially, it tells a story of a journey with some cut-scenes that are supposed to put you in the mood but don’t, you have interactivity with the environment and you try to reach a destination (?). After a certain point, you meet a real player (fellow traveler) every time, doing the journey together, trying to help each other even though you essentially have no means of communication between you. Somehow, there you stop feeling that there is no meaning and find a motivation to move forward. Overall, it doesn’t constitute anything special, and even this different aspect it tries to showcase remains incomplete. Prefer it either for free or... free. I gave it 3 stars because it was... free!
