    He is good but dark.
He provides a wide zoom range and good photos but the price is high:
It requires a lot of light.
    It is heavy.
    It is expensive

Well, this lens is a great story.
I have used it extensively in the past, and I can say that it is a decent solution for someone who:
    1) is tired of changing Kit lenses
    2) is not satisfied with the range of 18-55, 18-105, 17-50, 18-140, where the really good lenses are abundant
    3) does not want to spend twice as much for the Nikon.

Since I now use the Nikon 18-200, well, it's like day and night. As for Tamron, it won't do any amazing work for you, but it is definitely VFM.

I bought the lens because I was tired of the manual focus of the camera. I am quite satisfied and I haven't noticed any significant differences compared to the 18-55 lens. The colors, contrast, and quality are the same under daylight conditions. Perhaps the only drawback is that in low light conditions, you need to find a bright spot to focus on and then take the shot, but this has only happened to me 5-6 times in the five months that I have it. Not that it didn't happen with the previous lens. I am very satisfied with the zoom and the quality. With a little bit of Photoshop, the photos are perfect for amateur photography. I'm not a photographer for baptisms and weddings. It's a very good lens that I never take off! Something that is very important to me because I didn't want to change lenses since I am careless with dust, etc. I recommend it. I give it one less star because the only thing I haven't tried is astrophotography. I will soon buy a bright lens for night shots and then I'll be complete!

    I caught him at 194€.
I have to say that for the money he is very good! The best value for money, all-round lens! Much more affordable than the Nikkor 18-140. Silent focusing, good image quality for a lens with such a large focal length range, quite dark of course with f/6.3 at 200mm but the amazing VC allows me to lower the speed up to 1/10 without the photo appearing blurry, unlike the Tamron 70-300 without VC where speeds below 1/400 are prohibited! Of course, in the corners it is a bit soft and has Chromatic Aberration, but this can be corrected with Lightroom! Additionally, it includes a lens hood that many Nikkor lenses do not include and a 5-year warranty from Tamron. For 200€, I don't think there is a better choice for an all-around lens. I highly recommend it. From me, it has 5 stars!
