The story unfolds 1,000 years ago, when Emperor Geardo of the Naga Empire attacks the kingdom of Garuda with an army of mechanical soldiers. Thanks to the efforts of Princess Cecilia and Rodea, a mechanical soldier, the Emperor's attack was repelled. In modern times, an inventor named Ion discovers an abandoned robot in the heart of a scorching desert. Upon completing the repairs, the robot rejuvenates and reveals that it is Rodea. Astonished to find himself in the future, Rodea learns that the Naga Empire no longer exists and that Garuda has enjoyed peace for 1,000 years. But this peace will not last, as the forces of Naga return to declare war on Garuda. Remembering the promise he made 1,000 years ago, Rodea once again takes to the skies to defend Garuda.
