It features a polycentric mechanism for controlling the flexion and extension of the ankle joint every 7.5 degrees. The sole is anatomically shaped, non-slip, ideal for shock absorption and aiding in walking. Application and compression adjustment are done with Velcro fastener straps.

The use of the splint supports the ankle joint, allowing limited movements safely.
