The Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals for Nintendo DS continues the story of Rallen and Jeena, space patrol officers who discover, excavate, awaken, and train mysterious fossilized creatures known as Spectrobes, which they use in battle against enemies.

The story revolves around the destinations of mysterious portals that lead to distant dimensions.

Developed by Jupiter Corp. based in Kyoto, Japan, Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals features a host of new features, including a completely new story, a new 3D perspective, a map to aid exploration, new excavation and battle capabilities, more creatures, and the debut of an online battle system that utilizes Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.

Additionally, Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals includes DGamer, an innovative technology from Disney Interactive Studios that provides a fun, connected online gaming community for Disney video game fans.
