Left 4 Dead: Game Of The Year Edition offers all the content of the original game, as well as the L4D Survival Pack. It is a survival action game that combines the social entertainment experience of multiplayer games with the dramatic, narrative experience of classic single-player action games.

It features single player and co-op gameplay modes played across four extensive "Movies" with five large maps per movie. The "AI Director" technology creates unique experiences every time the game is played, based on the team's performance.

In Vs. Mode, players can play as a Survivor or as one of the four types of "Boss Infected," each with unique abilities instead of traditional firearms.

In the Survival Pack, the new game mode allows 1 to 4 players to survive swarms of zombies on over ten maps, with rounds scored according to survival duration. Two additional Versus campaigns are included with five maps each.
