Having played the rest of the Uncharted series games, I have to say that A Thief's End is possibly the most accomplished and complete game of the entire franchise and it will definitely not disappoint you!
In its positives:
• The graphics are amazing. They are equal to, if not better than, the previous games, with incredibly vibrant colors and an even bigger and more multi-layered open world, as the game unfolds in all natural environments (from mountains to tropical islands and ocean depths).
• The story and the plot are more complete compared to Uncharted 1, 2, and 3. We see the entire background and family background of Nathan, with the central axis of the game being his relationship with his brother Sam from the past, and how it contributed to Nathan's evolution into what he is today. The plot is naturally enriched by the presence of the beloved characters from the previous Uncharted games: Sully and Elena. However, the plot also shows us the definitive turning point in Nathan's life after his last adventure. It truly feels like watching a movie!
• The addition of new mechanics is very clever, such as the aerial transition to platforms using ropes, the ability to dive, full control of 4x4 jeeps and speedboats, as well as the explosive skeletons.
• The adventure, the scenic changes, and the sense of exploration that it offers in several scenes fully justify its title as one of the best action games.
• The real-time weather change on the island with the storm was beautiful, and the game's soundtrack is very good.
In its negatives:
• The enemies you face, which repeat themselves with the same pattern in several points. I would have liked more innovative enemies with more horror elements like in Uncharted 1.
• There haven't been any drastic changes in the ammo, rifles, and overall arsenal mechanisms.
• The change from shooting with L1+R1 to L2+R2, which was present in the previous games of the series, can be a bit annoying.
Finally, playing it on the PS4 Pro and an HDR TV truly enhances the graphics in all their glory.
If you enjoy adventure games and want to experience open-world graphics along with an exceptional and emotional plot, play it without a second thought!
In the end, I was truly moved. It's a wonderful finale for the series...
Έχοντας παίξει και τα υπόλοιπα παιχνίδια της σειράς Uncharted, έχω να πω ότι το A Thief's End είναι ίσως το πιο άρτιο και ολοκληρωμένο παιχνίδι όλου του franchise και δεν θα σας απογοητεύσει στα σίγουρα!
Στα θετικά του:
• Γραφικά που τα σπάνε.Ισαξια και ακόμη καλύτερα των προηγούμενων παιχνιδιών,με απίστευτα ζωντανά χρώματα και ένας εξωτερικός κόσμος ακόμη μεγαλύτερος και πολυεπίπεδος, μίας και θα δείτε ότι το παιχνίδι εκτυλίσσεται σε όλα τα φυσικά περιβάλλοντα.( Από βουνά μέχρι τροπικά νησιά και βυθούς ωκεανών).
• Η ιστορία και το σενάριο είναι πιο ολοκληρωμένα σε σχέση με τα Uncharted 1,2,3.
Βλέπουμε όλο το background και το οικογενειακό υπόβαθρο του Nathan,με κεντρικό άξονα του παιχνιδιού την σχέση του με τον αδελφό του Sam από το παρελθόν, και στο πώς συνέβαλε στην εξέλιξη του Nathan σε αυτό που είναι σήμερα.
Η πλοκή διανθίζεται φυσικά με τους αγαπημένους από τα προηγούμενα Uncharted:Sully και την Elena, αλλά το σενάριο μας δείχνει στο τέλος και την οριστική τροπή της ζωής του Nathan μετά την τελευταία του περιπέτεια.
Πραγματικά είναι σαν να βλέπεις ταινία η πλοκή!
• Πολύ έξυπνη η προσθήκη νέων μηχανισμών: όπως η εναερια μετάβαση στα platforms μέσω σχοινιών,η δυνατότητα κατάδυσης,ο πλήρης χειρισμός 4×4 jeep και ταχύπλοου, καθώς και οι εκρηγνυομενοι σκελετοί.
• Η περιπέτεια,οι σκηνικές εναλλαγές και η αίσθηση της εξερεύνησης που σου προσφέρει σε αρκετές σκηνές, δικαιώνουν απόλυτα τον τίτλο ως ένα από τα καλύτερα παιχνίδια δράσης.
• Η εναλλαγή real time του καιρού στο νησί με την καταιγίδα, ήταν πανέμορφη και η μουσική επένδυση του παιχνιδιού είναι πολύ καλή.
Στα αρνητικά του:
• Οι εχθροί που αντιμετωπίζεις,που σε αρκετά σημεία επαναλαμβάνονται με το ίδιο μοτίβο.
Θα ήθελα ανατρεπτικούς εχθρούς με πιο horror στοιχεία σαν το Uncharted 1.
• Στο Ammo,στα Rifles και γενικά στο οπλοστάσιο δεν έχει αλλάξει κάτι δραστικά, ως προς τους μηχανισμούς.
• Λίγο εκνευριστικη η αλλαγή για το shooting σε L2+R2 από L1+R1 που ήταν στα προηγούμενα παιχνίδια της σειράς.
Τέλος, παίζοντας το στο PS4 Pro και σε τηλεόραση HDR τα γραφικά πραγματικά αναδεικνύονται σε όλους τους το εύρος.
Αν σας αρέσουν τα adventure games και θέλετε να δείτε open world γραφικά αλλά και με μία εξαιρετική πλοκή με συναίσθημα,παίξτε το χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη!
Στο τέλος πραγματικά συγκινήθηκα, υπέροχος επίλογος για την σειρά...
