The Gobblet board game by Epsilon Games is a strategy game for two players. The aim is to create a row of four pieces of the same color. It is played on a 4 × 4 board, and each player's 12 pieces can be stacked in three piles of four.
On each turn, a player places an uncovered piece from one of their piles beside the board, or moves a piece already on the board to an available space. Larger pieces cover smaller ones, while a piece taken from a pile beside the board can cover an opponent's piece only when it is in a row where the opponent has three pieces. Players must also remember which color piece is covered by each larger piece. A row of four can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. If an opponent's piece is revealed and completes such a row, the player can continue the game by covering one of the other three pieces in that row.
