Overall, it is well-made and offers some extra stability. As for the size, even though I measured the dimensions on my knee before ordering, I didn't feel the elastic tight enough. Maybe for someone else, the feeling would be the opposite. I would personally choose a slightly smaller size now. As for the support (I got it for reinforcement due to meniscus irritation), maybe metal rods would be worth their money, because I don't think the plastic ones that this product has are enough for slightly more intense (amateur always) exercise. Lastly, I would choose black. The beige color, subjectively of course, looks bulky when worn.
