DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.
It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory module.
For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.
The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.
The Ripjaws V provides a speed of 3200MT/s, with CL16 and 8 GB per memory module.
Compatibility
DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.
However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

Undeniably value for money RAM, at a very good price you get reliability, speed and good performance, at the cost of course of losing RGB/LED lights, which is not so important if you care more about performance than aesthetics.
Αδιαπραγμάτευτα value for money RAM, σε μια πολύ καλή τιμή έχεις αξιοπιστία, ταχύτητα και καλές επιδόσεις, σε κόστος βέβαια την απώλεια RGB/LED lights κάτι το οποίο δεν είναι τόσο σημαντικό αν σε νοιάζει η επίδοση>αισθητική.
Update (16/12/2025): I was left without RAM for a total of 2 months while I paid 12.5 euros for shipping out of my own pocket. Very bad after-sales experience and this is the reason I will never buy G.Skill again.
Update (25/10/2025): Just when I was happy to have a replacement after such a long wait. Blue screen of death and Error 0x1A Memory Management Error, for those who know will understand. Troubleshooting starts again: reseat the RAM, memtest86 with both, then with just one of the two, then with the other. In the end, one is defective so back to square one. Return to where they came from (Netherlands).
Update (24/10/2025): A total of 20 days passed without RAM and 13 days that they were at the G.SKILL RMA center. I received a package from UPS this morning with the replacement. Brand new CL16-18-18-38 1.25V manufactured in October 2025 (brand new). Kudos to G.Skill! 5 stars again.
Update (15/10/2025): The RAM arrived at the G.SKILL RMA center in the Netherlands and I am waiting for a replacement.

Update (15/5/2025): After a BIOS reset and a new BIOS update, the machine accepted them and has been working fine for a week at XMP: 3200. Communication with G.Skill was immediate and they guided me in detail on the steps for replacement. Remember that even without a purchase receipt you are entitled to a lifetime warranty BUT at your own shipping cost, which means that if the pair costs 30 euros, it might be worth just buying new ones (which you will do anyway if you need the computer immediately and send the old RAM for inspection to the other side of Europe for example). So I give 5 stars again from the 1 I had before.
Purchased on 9/3/2022 (3 years ago) and they worked fine at 3200 MT/s. Recently, one of the two stopped working. It doesn't let the computer even POST with the motherboard lights not turning on at all. The other stick works fine even at XMP. The defective stick did not work in any of the 4 motherboard slots.
The following were tested:
- BIOS update (B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 (rev. 1.0))
- 4 different RAM slots
An RMA request will be made since they have a lifetime warranty and I will update.
Update (16/12/2025): Έμεινα 2 μήνες συνολικά χωρίς RAM ενώ έδωσα μεταφορικά 12,5 ευρώ απο την τσέπη μου. Πολύ κακή εμπειρία after-sales και είναιι ο λόγος που δεν αγοράζω ποτέ ξανά G.Skill.
Update (25/10/2025): Πάνω που χάρηκα που έχω αντικατάσταση μετά απο τόση αναμονή. Blue screen of death και Error 0x1Α Memory Management Error για όσους γνωρίζουν θα καταλάβουν. Αρχίζουν πάλι τα troubleshooting: reseat τις RAM, memtext86 και με τις δύο, μετά με την μια απο τις δυο μονο, μετά με την άλλη. Εν τέλη η μια είναι ελλατωματική οπότε πάλι επιστροφή στο σημείο 0. Επιστροφή απο εκεί που ήρθαν (Ολλανδία).
Update (24/10/2025) Πέρσαν συνολικά 20 ημέρες που ήμουν χωρίς RAM και 13 ημέρες που βρίσκονταν στο RMA center της G.SKILL. Μου ήρθε δέμα απο UPS σήμερα το πρωί με την αντικατάσταση. Ολοκαίνουργιες CL16-18-18-38 1.25V με κατασκευή Οκτώμβριο, 2025 (ολοκαίνουργιες). Χίλια μπράβο στην G.Skill ! 5 αστέρια και πάλι.

Update (15/5/2025): Μετά απο BIOS reset και εκ νέου BIOS update το μηχάνημα τις δέχθηκε και λειτουργεί κανονικά εδώ και μια εβδομάδα σε XMP: 3200. Η επικοινωνία με την G.Skill ήταν άμεση και με καθοδήγησαν αναλυτικά στο ποια είναι τα βήματα για αντικατάσταση. Να θυμάστε ότι και χωρίς την απόδειξη αγοράς δικαιούστε εφ' όρου ζωής εγγύηση ΑΛΛΑ με δικά σας έξοδα αποστολής που σημαίνει ότι αν το ζευγάρι κοστίζει 30 ευρώ τότε ίσως αξίζει να αγοράσετε απλά καινούργιες (κάτι που έτσι κι αλλιώς θα κάνετε αν χρειάζεστε τον υπολογιστή άμεσα και στείλετε τις παλίές RAM για έλεγχο στην άλλη άκρη της Ευρώπης π.χ.). Οπώτε βάζω ξανά 5 αστέρια απο 1 που είχα πριν.
Αγοράστηκα στις 9/3/2022 (3 έτη) και λειτουργούσαν μια χαρά στα 3200 MT/s. Πρόσφατα σταμάτησε να λειτουργεί η μια απο τις δύο. Δεν αφήνει τον υπολογιστή να κάνει καν POST με τα φώτα της μητρικής να μην ανάβουν καν. Το άλλο stick λειτουργεί μια χαρά και σε XMP. Το ελλατωματικό stick δεν λειτούργησε σε καμία απο τις 4 θύρες της μητρικής.
I installed them in the Asus TUF B550M plus (without wifi) along with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and they worked immediately at 3200Mhz with the DOCP setting in the BIOS. Stable and super fast. Simply amazing memory. I will get another set to have a total of 32Gb.
EDIT 17/4/2025: Today I installed the second set and they also worked right away without changing anything in the BIOS, etc. I have no words. Anyone considering it (as long as the motherboard supports them, see QVL), YOU'VE ALREADY GOT THEM. Without a second thought.
Τις έβαλα στην Asus TUF B550M plus(χωρίς wifi) μαζί με τον AMD Ryzen 5 5600X και έπαιξαν κατευθείαν στα 3200Mhz με την ρύθμιση DOCP στο BIOS. Σταθερές και ταχύτατες. Απλά απίθανες μνήμες. Θα πάρω ένα ακόμα σετ για να έχω συνολικά 32Gb.
EDIT 17/4/2025 : Σήμερα έβαλα και το δεύτερο σετ και έπαιξαν και αυτές κατευθείαν χωρίς να αλλάξω τίποτα στο BIOS κλπ. Δεν έχω λόγια. Όποιος το σκέφτεται(εφόσον τις υποστηρίζει η motherboard, βλέπε QVL), ΤΙΣ ΕΧΕΙΣ ΠΑΡΕΙ ΗΔΗ. Χωρίς δεύτερη κουβέντα.

After a few months, they made the PC unstable with restarts and dozens of errors in memtest.
If you have a system with DDR4 until 2025, spend a little more and buy better ones like the G.Skill Trident Z which, unlike the G.Skill Ripjaws V, are Samsung and not Hynix.
Μετά από λίγους μήνες έκαναν το pc ασταθές με επανεκκινήσεις και δεκάδες errors στο memtest.
Αν έχετε σύστημα με DDR4 to 2025 δώστε ελάχιστα παραπάνω και αγοράστε καλύτερες όπως τις G.Skill Trident Z οι οποίες σε αντίθεση με τις G.Skill Ripjaws V είναι Samsung και όχι Hynix.
8 DECEMBER 2025 after 1 year I wanted to upgrade here and there and I see not 50 nor 60 but 70 EUROS UP?!?!
WHAT HAPPENED GUYS??? The ram is quite good, I don't mess with the Bios but for the 1080 gaming I do it's perfect (for the 50 I had bought them for). Now at 120€ I don't even touch them, I'm satisfied with the 16Gb at such prices when all pc parts have gone through the roof

Hello, it's my turn and I have to say that with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X RTX 3060, purely for gaming setup, I use it for games like Battlefield 2042 on ultra settings and other games. They are incredibly fast and have not presented any problems. They are very easy to install and very fast for their price!!!

Guys, I had 2x8gb Hynix and I bought another set to make it 32gb and I specifically asked for it not to be Samsung. But it turned out to be Samsung and they worked fine with XMP 3200. Just installed them. I will edit in the future if any issues arise. MSI B450 gaming pro carbon ac, Ryzen 7 5700x. Passed the Windows 10 memory diagnostic tool without errors. It's unlikely that I will have any problems.

Θα κάνω edit στο μέλλον αν παρουσιάσουν πρόβλημα. MSI B450 gaming pro carbon ac, ryzen 7 5700x. Μόλις πέρασε και χωρίς errors το windows 10 memory diagnostic tool. Δϋσκολα να έχω πρόβλημα.

It does not work on XMP on Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4, you need to manually set it to 3100 (if you enable XMP).

On Gigabyte's website, it says "*When running XMP at DDR4 3200 MHz or higher, the system's stability depends on the CPU's capabilities." So, the fact that it doesn't work for me with XMP is due to the Intel Core i5-12600KF that I have.

Αδιαπραγμάτευτα value for money RAM, σε μια πολύ καλή τιμή έχεις αξιοπιστία, ταχύτητα και καλές επιδόσεις, σε κόστος βέβαια την απώλεια RGB/LED lights κάτι το οποίο δεν είναι τόσο σημαντικό αν σε νοιάζει η επίδοση>αισθητική.
Update (16/12/2025): I was left without RAM for a total of 2 months while I paid 12.5 euros for shipping out of my own pocket. Very bad after-sales experience and this is the reason I will never buy G.Skill again.
Update (25/10/2025): Just when I was happy to have a replacement after such a long wait. Blue screen of death and Error 0x1A Memory Management Error, for those who know will understand. Troubleshooting starts again: reseat the RAM, memtest86 with both, then with just one of the two, then with the other. In the end, one is defective so back to square one. Return to where they came from (Netherlands).
Update (24/10/2025): A total of 20 days passed without RAM and 13 days that they were at the G.SKILL RMA center. I received a package from UPS this morning with the replacement. Brand new CL16-18-18-38 1.25V manufactured in October 2025 (brand new). Kudos to G.Skill! 5 stars again.
Update (15/10/2025): The RAM arrived at the G.SKILL RMA center in the Netherlands and I am waiting for a replacement.

3. Pack the parcel according to the instructions you will receive by email

Update (15/5/2025): After a BIOS reset and a new BIOS update, the machine accepted them and has been working fine for a week at XMP: 3200. Communication with G.Skill was immediate and they guided me in detail on the steps for replacement. Remember that even without a purchase receipt you are entitled to a lifetime warranty BUT at your own shipping cost, which means that if the pair costs 30 euros, it might be worth just buying new ones (which you will do anyway if you need the computer immediately and send the old RAM for inspection to the other side of Europe for example). So I give 5 stars again from the 1 I had before.
Purchased on 9/3/2022 (3 years ago) and they worked fine at 3200 MT/s. Recently, one of the two stopped working. It doesn't let the computer even POST with the motherboard lights not turning on at all. The other stick works fine even at XMP. The defective stick did not work in any of the 4 motherboard slots.
The following were tested:
- BIOS update (B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 (rev. 1.0))
- 4 different RAM slots
An RMA request will be made since they have a lifetime warranty and I will update.
Update (16/12/2025): Έμεινα 2 μήνες συνολικά χωρίς RAM ενώ έδωσα μεταφορικά 12,5 ευρώ απο την τσέπη μου. Πολύ κακή εμπειρία after-sales και είναιι ο λόγος που δεν αγοράζω ποτέ ξανά G.Skill.
Update (25/10/2025): Πάνω που χάρηκα που έχω αντικατάσταση μετά απο τόση αναμονή. Blue screen of death και Error 0x1Α Memory Management Error για όσους γνωρίζουν θα καταλάβουν. Αρχίζουν πάλι τα troubleshooting: reseat τις RAM, memtext86 και με τις δύο, μετά με την μια απο τις δυο μονο, μετά με την άλλη. Εν τέλη η μια είναι ελλατωματική οπότε πάλι επιστροφή στο σημείο 0. Επιστροφή απο εκεί που ήρθαν (Ολλανδία).
Update (24/10/2025) Πέρσαν συνολικά 20 ημέρες που ήμουν χωρίς RAM και 13 ημέρες που βρίσκονταν στο RMA center της G.SKILL. Μου ήρθε δέμα απο UPS σήμερα το πρωί με την αντικατάσταση. Ολοκαίνουργιες CL16-18-18-38 1.25V με κατασκευή Οκτώμβριο, 2025 (ολοκαίνουργιες). Χίλια μπράβο στην G.Skill ! 5 αστέρια και πάλι.

Update (15/5/2025): Μετά απο BIOS reset και εκ νέου BIOS update το μηχάνημα τις δέχθηκε και λειτουργεί κανονικά εδώ και μια εβδομάδα σε XMP: 3200. Η επικοινωνία με την G.Skill ήταν άμεση και με καθοδήγησαν αναλυτικά στο ποια είναι τα βήματα για αντικατάσταση. Να θυμάστε ότι και χωρίς την απόδειξη αγοράς δικαιούστε εφ' όρου ζωής εγγύηση ΑΛΛΑ με δικά σας έξοδα αποστολής που σημαίνει ότι αν το ζευγάρι κοστίζει 30 ευρώ τότε ίσως αξίζει να αγοράσετε απλά καινούργιες (κάτι που έτσι κι αλλιώς θα κάνετε αν χρειάζεστε τον υπολογιστή άμεσα και στείλετε τις παλίές RAM για έλεγχο στην άλλη άκρη της Ευρώπης π.χ.). Οπώτε βάζω ξανά 5 αστέρια απο 1 που είχα πριν.
Αγοράστηκα στις 9/3/2022 (3 έτη) και λειτουργούσαν μια χαρά στα 3200 MT/s. Πρόσφατα σταμάτησε να λειτουργεί η μια απο τις δύο. Δεν αφήνει τον υπολογιστή να κάνει καν POST με τα φώτα της μητρικής να μην ανάβουν καν. Το άλλο stick λειτουργεί μια χαρά και σε XMP. Το ελλατωματικό stick δεν λειτούργησε σε καμία απο τις 4 θύρες της μητρικής.
I installed them in the Asus TUF B550M plus (without wifi) along with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and they worked immediately at 3200Mhz with the DOCP setting in the BIOS. Stable and super fast. Simply amazing memory. I will get another set to have a total of 32Gb.
EDIT 17/4/2025: Today I installed the second set and they also worked right away without changing anything in the BIOS, etc. I have no words. Anyone considering it (as long as the motherboard supports them, see QVL), YOU'VE ALREADY GOT THEM. Without a second thought.
Τις έβαλα στην Asus TUF B550M plus(χωρίς wifi) μαζί με τον AMD Ryzen 5 5600X και έπαιξαν κατευθείαν στα 3200Mhz με την ρύθμιση DOCP στο BIOS. Σταθερές και ταχύτατες. Απλά απίθανες μνήμες. Θα πάρω ένα ακόμα σετ για να έχω συνολικά 32Gb.
EDIT 17/4/2025 : Σήμερα έβαλα και το δεύτερο σετ και έπαιξαν και αυτές κατευθείαν χωρίς να αλλάξω τίποτα στο BIOS κλπ. Δεν έχω λόγια. Όποιος το σκέφτεται(εφόσον τις υποστηρίζει η motherboard, βλέπε QVL), ΤΙΣ ΕΧΕΙΣ ΠΑΡΕΙ ΗΔΗ. Χωρίς δεύτερη κουβέντα.

After a few months, they made the PC unstable with restarts and dozens of errors in memtest.
If you have a system with DDR4 until 2025, spend a little more and buy better ones like the G.Skill Trident Z which, unlike the G.Skill Ripjaws V, are Samsung and not Hynix.
Μετά από λίγους μήνες έκαναν το pc ασταθές με επανεκκινήσεις και δεκάδες errors στο memtest.
Αν έχετε σύστημα με DDR4 to 2025 δώστε ελάχιστα παραπάνω και αγοράστε καλύτερες όπως τις G.Skill Trident Z οι οποίες σε αντίθεση με τις G.Skill Ripjaws V είναι Samsung και όχι Hynix.
8 DECEMBER 2025 after 1 year I wanted to upgrade here and there and I see not 50 nor 60 but 70 EUROS UP?!?!
WHAT HAPPENED GUYS??? The ram is quite good, I don't mess with the Bios but for the 1080 gaming I do it's perfect (for the 50 I had bought them for). Now at 120€ I don't even touch them, I'm satisfied with the 16Gb at such prices when all pc parts have gone through the roof

Worn on an Asus B450 F Gaming motherboard from 6/2018 until today 1/2024, they work continuously and flawlessly with XMP from the BIOS at 3200MHz, with daily gaming for 3-4 hours. Excellent!

XMP works smoothly at 3200.
I use them together with another pair of the same (total 32GB).
If you have issues with BIOS post and XMP, disable MEMORY FAST BOOT in the BIOS.

Hello, it's my turn and I have to say that with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X RTX 3060, purely for gaming setup, I use it for games like Battlefield 2042 on ultra settings and other games. They are incredibly fast and have not presented any problems. They are very easy to install and very fast for their price!!!

Guys, I had 2x8gb Hynix and I bought another set to make it 32gb and I specifically asked for it not to be Samsung. But it turned out to be Samsung and they worked fine with XMP 3200. Just installed them. I will edit in the future if any issues arise. MSI B450 gaming pro carbon ac, Ryzen 7 5700x. Passed the Windows 10 memory diagnostic tool without errors. It's unlikely that I will have any problems.

Ρε παιδιά. Εγώ είχα 2x8gb hynix και πείρα αλλο ενα σέτ για να τα κάνω 32gb κ παρακαλούσα να μην ειναι samsung. Ήταν samsung κ δούλεψαν κανονικα με xmp 3200. Μόλις τις έβαλα. Θα κάνω edit στο μέλλον αν παρουσιάσουν πρόβλημα. MSI B450 gaming pro carbon ac, ryzen 7 5700x. Μόλις πέρασε και χωρίς errors το windows 10 memory diagnostic tool. Δϋσκολα να έχω πρόβλημα.

I bought another set to make the system 32gb. Without doing anything to the xmp profile, it recognized it immediately and everything is working well. Very satisfied with the first 16gb that I had!

Everything you can ask for and expect from a top-notch pair of RAMs... easy and straightforward installation, waste disposal placement, XMP from the get-go, and since then, I forgot they even exist!
Οτι μπορεις να ζητησεις και να περιμενεις απο ενα ζευγαρι κορυφαιες ram.., τοποθετηση φυσικα απλουστατη, εγκατασταση αποβληματιστη, XMP απο την πρωτη στιγμη και απο τοτε ξεχασα οτι υπαρχουν..!
Very good, but if I were to buy them again, I wouldn't pay anything more than 3600. I've been using them overclocked for quite some time now, with about 5 hours of gaming every day, and they don't give up.

It does not work on XMP on Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4, you need to manually set it to 3100 (if you enable XMP).

On Gigabyte's website, it says "*When running XMP at DDR4 3200 MHz or higher, the system's stability depends on the CPU's capabilities." So, the fact that it doesn't work for me with XMP is due to the Intel Core i5-12600KF that I have.
Δεν παίζει σε XMP σε Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4, θέλει να το βάλεις χειροκίνητα στα 3100 ( αν ενεργοποιήσεις το XMP )

Στο Site της Gigabyte λεει "*When running XMP at DDR4 3200 MHz or higher, the system's stability depends on the CPU’s capabilities." άρα το ότι δεν παίζουν σε μένα με XMP φταίει ο Intel Core i5-12600KF που έχω.
Purchased on 29/12/24, at 31.60 euros, not even at 1/4 of the price they cost today (19/6/26, 131.76 euros).

I had bought them when they still cost 30 euros and as soon as the prices skyrocketed, one of them developed a problem. The e-god store from which I bought them closed in the meantime and the warranty went out the window. For the 140 they cost now, it's a joke.

I really laugh at those who bought this particular RAM for 120+ euros.. come on people, wait for RAM prices to drop, in 2022 I got this one for 30 euros and I have only good things to say but it makes no sense at all to pay 135 euros for a 16GB RAM now, don't waste your money, be patient and wait for the prices to drop
