The Huch Kamisado board game is a strategy and skill game for two players, with no dice, cards or other elements of chance. The aim of each round is to be the first to move a tower to the opposite side of the board, moving straight forwards or diagonally forwards. On each turn, a player moves the tower that matches the colour of the square the opponent moved to on their previous turn.
Towers can be blocked by their own or their opponent’s pieces. If a player cannot move, the opponent takes another turn, moving the tower that matches the colour of the square occupied by the immobilised tower. As the game progresses, towers are upgraded to “Sumos”, which can push opposing pieces backwards and earn extra turns. The winner is the first player to reach the required number of wins.
