The Bruxelles 1893 board game by Z-Man Games is a strategy and worker-placement game with auction and area-majority elements. Players take on the role of architects in the late 19th century, aiming to complete an Art Nouveau-style project, create works of art, and score the most points.

In each round, the available actions depend on the modular action board. Players can acquire materials, build floors of their house, find a patron, create and sell works of art, or visit the stock exchange. An art exhibition takes place at the end of each round. After five rounds, scores are calculated based on the players’ progress as architects, bonus cards, completed tasks, and money.
