You get what you pay for....an affordable solution for comfortable grip on snow and ice...for most roads, it's great since it's a "thin" chain...for steep slopes, I think a thicker one is needed...they are easy to install, as long as you know how...with a couple of tries in normal conditions, you will easily learn how to put them on and be prepared for when you need them...a tip is to have work gloves with you, they will help a lot...

These specific chains are for very light use. Personally, for me who lives on a hill, they were only good for one use. They broke on the second use. I had to use the chains from my wife's car, which I have had for 10 years and nothing happened to them. Also, on the first use, the wire on the inner side deformed so much that it was obvious they wouldn't last long, but I hoped to at least get through one winter.
