Personally, after a wrist fracture, I couldn't use a mouse for more than 10 minutes continuously without my fingers starting to numb. With this, I could work 8-hour shifts without any discomfort, until the months-long recovery was complete. Now I'm so used to it that when I use a different PC, I look for what's missing.
