The Tado package includes the smart Tado thermostat and the internet bridge that allows the connection between the thermostat and the smartphone app, available for both IOS and Android. This way, you can control your home's temperature from anywhere through the app or set up a heating schedule.
Tado's algorithms will "learn" the time it takes to heat your home, so the Tado thermostat knows when to start heating to have the right temperature at the desired time.
The Tado heating system also includes features such as:
- Geofencing: Automatically detects when you leave home using your phone's GPS and can activate the Economy mode.
- Weather Adaptation: The Tado algorithm uses weather forecasts to minimize your home's energy consumption as much as possible.
- Open Window Detection: The algorithms detect when a window is open, stopping the heating to avoid extra energy consumption.
- MultiRoom: Allows individual temperature control in each room, but Tado thermostats are required for this function.
- Wireless: The Tado thermostat can also be used as a wireless thermostat in combination with the Tado Extension Kit, allowing you to move it anywhere in the house.
For using Tado products, Z-Wave/ZigBee control units are not required, as communication with the mobile app can be done via the Internet Bridge included in the package.
