I got it for home use, thinking it would meet my needs. I was wrong. Easy installation, but that's about it.
The POE adapter with a 25m cat6 cable probably doesn't meet the power requirements of the AP because when I set it to high transmit (or auto) power, it struggled and reset.
In terms of bandwidth, in the same room without interference, it reached a maximum of 100-120Mbps on the 5GHz band. At 4 meters and 2 walls in between, it ranged between 15-50Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. At 6 meters and beyond, with an external wall, there was no signal. The ax3600 with Chinese firmware that I have covers as much space as three of these in a row, and where the ubiquiti reached 10-50, the Chinese one reaches 400+ (iperf3).
You can only adopt the AP to one controller, and that controller can only be on one device. So you can only control the AP from one point. If you're troubleshooting between the controller on a desktop computer and the AP in another room, be prepared for a lot of walking.
From my experience, this device is meant for open spaces and multiple devices with low bandwidth each. Offices, stores, etc. Not for home use. The rating is based on home use.
The numbers I mention are actual performance, not nominal (iperf3 on a server with Ethernet using an edgerouter X erx), and the channels are obviously the least occupied.

Το POE adaptor με 25m cat6 καλώδιο μάλλον δε καλύπτει τις ενεργειακές απαιτήσεις του AP γιατί όταν έβαζα high transmit (ή στο auto) power ζοριζοταν και έτρωγε reset.
Από bandwidth, στο ίδιο δωμάτιο χωρίς παρεμβολές μέγιστο τα 100-120Mbps στη 5ρα. 4 μέτρα 2 τοίχοι, έπαιζε μεταξύ 15-50Μbps στη 2ρα. 6 μέτρα και μετά ένας εξωτερικός τοίχος, καθόλου σήμα. Το ax3600 με κινέζικο firmware που έχω καλύπτει τόσο χώρο όσο 3 τέτοια στη σειρά και εκεί που έπιανε 10-50 το ubiquiti, πιάνει 400+ το κινέζικο (iperf3).
Μπορείς να κάνεις adοpt το ap σε ένα controller μόνο και αυτός ο controller μόνο σε μια συσκευή. Οπότε μόνο από ένα σημείο μπορείς να ελέγχεις τα ΑP. Άμα κάνεις troubleshooting μεταξύ controller σε σταθερό υπολογιστή και ap σε άλλο χώρο, ετοιμάσου για πολύ περπάτημα.
Από την εμπειρία μου αυτή η συσκευή είναι για ανοιχτούς χώρους και πολλές συσκευές με μικρό bandwidth η κάθε μία. Γραφεία, καταστήματα κτλ. Όχι για σπίτι. Η βαθμολογία αφορά την οικιακή χρήση.
Τα νούμερα που αναφέρω είναι πραγματική απόδοση και όχι ονομαστική (iperf3 σε server με ethernet με edgerouter X erx) και τα κανάλια προφανώς τα λιγότερο κατειλημμένα.
The installation and connection are quite easy, but the performance is very good. I have a wireless speed of 225 Mbps on my mobile, it couldn't be better.

Just one advice. If in case there are interferences in your space from various other signals and there is no way to avoid it, know that this AP will not save you, and I am referring of course to the 2.4 frequency.

Μια συμβουλή μόνο. Εάν σε περίπτωση υπάρχουν παρεμβολές στο χώρο σας από διάφορα άλλα σήματα και δεν υπάρχει τρόπος να το αποφύγετε να ξέρετε ότι αυτό το AP δεν θα σας σώσει και αναφέρομαι φυσικά στην 2.4 συχνότητα.
I bought the Unifi AP AC Lite to use in combination with a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X ER-X in a 90 sqm space with relatively thick walls. It replaced a Speedport Plus. I am completely satisfied with the Edgerouter, as it has eliminated any device connectivity issues and provides flawless internet distribution.
However, I can't say the same for the Unifi AP AC Lite. Its range is slightly better than the Speedport, especially for mobile phones. The 5 GHz signal doesn't really reach beyond 2-3 meters, and even in a room a few meters away, I sometimes have a mediocre signal with only 3 bars. I think for a 90 sqm space, 2 Lite units are needed.
If someone has a small space up to 50-60 sqm, thin walls, or the ability to install 2 Lite units with wiring to the router, then this device is a good choice. However, if someone wants to cover a space of 70-100 sqm with just one AP, it might be better to invest a little more for the Unifi AP AC LR.
UPDATE 21-7
I ended up buying the AP AC LR hoping for better signal on the 5 GHz band. However, I didn't see any difference in either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bands. So, I am upgrading the Lite to 5 stars for my own use. It has slightly better range than the Speedport Plus (I did a better comparison and there is a difference), significantly better stability, and is cheaper than the LR.
Αγόρασα το Unifi AP AC Lite για να το χρησιμοποιήσω σε συνδυασμό με έναν Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X ER-X σε έναν χώρο 90 τμ με σχετικά χοντρούς τοίχους. Αντικατέστησαν ένα Speedport Plus. Από το Edgerouter είμαι απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος, σταμάτησαν τα όποια κολλήματα στις συσκευές και μοιράζει το ίντερνετ άψογα.
Από το Unifi AP AC Lite όχι ανάλογα ομολογώ. Η εμβέλεια του είναι λίγο ανώτερη του Speedport, ειδικά για κινητά τηλέφωνα. Το σήμα των 5 Ghz δεν πάει πραγματικά πάνω από 2-3 μέτρα μακριά και με ένα κινητό έχω μέτριο σήμα ακόμα και σε ένα δωμάτιο λίγα μέτρα πιο πέρα κάποιες φορές έχω 3 γραμμές σήμα. Νομίζω πως για έναν χώρο 90 τμ χρειάζονται 2 Lite.
Αν κάποιος έχει μικρό χώρο μέχρι 50-60 τμ, ή λεπτούς τοίχους, ή μπορεί να εγκαταστήσει 2 Lite με καλωδίωση στον router η συσκευή είναι καλή επιλογή. Αν όμως θέλει με ένα AP να καλύψει χώρο 70-100 τμ τότε ίσως θα ήταν καλύτερα να δώσει τα λίγα παραπάνω για το Unifi AP AC LR.
ΕΠΙΚΑΙΡΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ 21-7
Αγόρασα τελικά το AP AC LR ελπίζοντας να έχω καλύτερο σήμα στα 5 Ghz. Τελικά δεν είδα καμία διαφορά ούτε στα 2,4 ούτε στα 5. Οπότε αναβαθμίζω το Lite σε 5 αστέρια για τη δική μου χρήση. Λίγο καλύτερη εμβέλεια από το Speedport Plus (έκανα μια καλύτερη σύγκριση και υπάρχει διαφορά), σημαντικά καλύτερη σταθερότητα και φθηνότερο από το LR.
OK very good access point, but keep in mind that:
1. You will need to install the controller software to be able to manage it on a PC/server. Unfortunately, I don't have Windows, but with a little effort, I installed it on RHEL.
2. To make the AP work, you need to auto discover/adopt it, and to do that, you need to disable the firewall.
3. It can work in standalone mode through a mobile device, but it has very limited configuration options, so it's better to use the controller.
4. It has a very strange way of setting different SSIDs for 5.8 and 2.4 GHz.
Other than that, it seems stable. I have switched all my devices to 5G, luckily they all have the capability (I have over 20 Wi-Fi devices) except for the Sonoff plugs, and they work perfectly.
ΟΚ πολύ καλό access point, αλλά έχετε υπόψη ότι:
1. Θα χρειαστεί να εγκαταστήσετε τον controller software για να μπορέσετε να το κάνετε manage, σε κάποιο PC/server. Δυστυχώς δεν έχω Windows, αλλά με λίγη προσπάθεια το έβαλα σε RHEL
2. To AP για να το δουλέψεις, πρέπει να το κάνεις auto discover/adopt και για να μπορέσει να γίνει αυτό πρέπει να ρίξεις το firewall.
3. Μπορεί να δουλέψει σε standalone μέσω κινητού, αλλά έχει πολύ περιορισμένο configuration, οπότε καλύτερα μέσω του controller.
4. Εχει πολύ περίεργο τρόπο να σετάρεις διαφορετικά SSIDs για 5.8 και 2.4 G.
Κατά τ' 'αλλα φαίνεται σταθερό. Εχω γυρίσει όλες τις συσκευές μου σε 5G, ευτυχώς έχουν όλες τη δυνατότητα (έχω πάνω απο 20 wifi συσκευές) εκτός από τις sonoff πριζες και πάνε σφαίρα.
Having tired of the shortcomings of small, cheap, and widely known Access Points, I decided to try something a little more expensive but much higher quality for my home. This particular one can be considered nothing less than an Access Point capable of professional use. It will provide absolute speed and stability at home. I will never have to restart it. Nor will I ever have to deal with it. It simply works everywhere and always.
The only sacrifice you will have to make is that access to the admin console is mandatory through a computer (you cannot press an IP from your tablet/mobile and log in because it requires a PC/laptop to first run the server emulator to give you access, etc.).
The initial setup and configuration you would like to do is not difficult for someone who knows/understands some basic things, but on the other hand, I wouldn't say it's for beginners.
As for capabilities, I don't know if it makes sense to enumerate them. It covers extreme cases in terms of networking, let alone the "basics" (Dual Band, Wi-Fi scheduling, MAC filtering, Guest access, Hotspot, Signal strength, etc.). The PPoE is very convenient, meaning it doesn't need a separate power supply and works only with the LAN cable.
The futuristic design with its soft lighting means you won't need to "hide" it in a corner and you can easily have it in a visible spot.
Highly recommended for experts and beginners who have a friend who can help them set it up (because they will never need it again).
Έχοντας κουραστεί με τις παθογένειες των μικρών, φθηνών και ευρέως γνωστών Access Point, αποφάσισα να δοκιμάσω για το σπίτι κάτι λίγο πιο ακριβό αλλά πολύ πιο ποιοτικό. Το συγκεκριμένο δε μπορεί να θεωρηθεί τίποτα λιγότερο από ένα Access Point ικανό για επαγγελματική χρήση. Στο σπίτι θα προσφέρει απόλυτη ταχύτητα και σταθερότητα. Restart δε θα το κάνω ποτέ. Ούτε θα ασχοληθώ ποτέ μαζί του. Απλά παίζει παντού και πάντα.
Το μόνο που θα χρειαστεί να θυσιάσετε είναι ότι η πρόσβαση στο admin console του γίνεται υποχρεωτικά μέσα από υπολογιστή (δε μπορείτε από το tablet/κινητό σας να πατήσετε μία IP και να κάνετε Login γιατί θέλει PC/laptop που να τρέξετε πρώτα το server emulator που έχει για να σας δόσει πρόσβαση κλπ).
Το αρχικό setup και configuration που θα θέλατε να κάνετε δεν είναι τίποτα το δύσκολο για κάποιον που γνωρίζει/καταλαβαίνει κάποια βασικά πράγματα, αλλά από την άλλη δε θα το έλεγα ότι είναι για αρχάριους.
Από δυνατότητες δε ξέρω αν έχει νόημα να απαριθμήσω. Καλύπτει extreme περιπτώσεις ως προς το networking, πόσο μάλλον για τα "βασικά" (Dual Band, Wi-Fi scheduling, MAC filtering, Guest access, Hotspot, Signal strength κλπ). Πολύ βολικό το PPoE που σημαίνει ότι δε χρειάζεται ξεχωριστή παροχή ρεύματος και δουλεύει μόνο με το καλώδιο LAN.
Το φουτουριστικό design με τον απαλό φωτισμό του σημαίνει ότι δε θα χρειαστεί να το "κρύψετε" σε κάποια γωνιά και μπορείτε να το έχετε κάλλιστα και σε εμφανές σημείο.
Highly recommended για τους γνώστες και για τους αρχάριους που έχουν κάποιο/α φίλο/η που μπορεί να τους βοηθήσει να το setάρουν (γιατί μετά δε θα ξαναχρειαστεί ποτέ).
Very good and stable access point. I use it to stream movies on my TV and it is very fast. Its range is not as expected, but luckily I don't have high demands for it. Anyway, it's worth the money.

Fantastic Access Point, I used 6 pieces to set up a wireless network in a 2-story old school with thick cement walls. Just to give you an idea of the range, I used 3 devices at a distance of 70 meters from end to end (8 rows of classrooms). Very easy installation, the controller directly recognizes and automatically sets up each new device (adopt). The most positive aspect is the zero lag when switching from one AP to another. I highly recommend it, even for home use.
Φανταστικό Access Point, χρησιμοποίησα 6 τεμάχια προκειμένου να στήσω ασύρματο δίκτυο σε σχολείο 2 ορόφων παλιάς κατασκευής με πολύ χοντρούς τσιμεντένιους τοίχους. Ενδεικτικά για να καταλάβετε περίπου την εμβέλεια, σε μια απόσταση των 70 μέτρων από άκρη σ' άκρη (8 τάξεις στη σειρά) χρησιμοποίησα 3 συσκευές. Πολύ εύκολη εγκατάσταση, ο controller αναγνωρίζει απευθείας κάθε νέα συσκευή και τη σετάρει αυτόματα (adopt). Το πολύ θετικό είναι το μηδενικό lag από τη μεταπήδηση από ένα ap σε ένα άλλο. Το προτείνω 100% και για οικιακή χρήση.

The purchase of this was made from the largest worldwide department store abroad. Smaller than the AP UAP, the basic one that I have and also in the store for customers. The setup is easy if you are a user of UBIQUITI or experienced with networking products. Stable and very fast. Its range inside the house (100 sqm) is excellent as it seems to have good reception even with 2 walls in between. It has more customization compared to what I have in the store and a better way to be placed on the ceiling or wall. Some may encounter a problem installing the controller with the port 8080. Whoever has a problem can leave me a message so I can tell them how to overcome it.

I have had this Access point for about a month and I am completely satisfied. It is normally intended for professional use, but it is also quite affordable for home use.
The reason I chose it is because of its dual band support (2.4 & 5 GHz) as well as the ability to be powered through the UTP cable (Power-over-Ethernet). With most devices now supporting 5 GHz, the problem of interference that exists at 2.4 GHz is solved. PoE makes it easy to place it in the optimal location, as only the network cable is needed and there is no need to place it near a power outlet or use an extension cord for power. This makes it very easy to improve the coverage of the space compared to the traditional wireless router that usually needs to be near the telephone outlet. Even if the space is very large, you can use more than one, and with the provided software, you can manage them all from one management environment.
Έχω αυτό το Access point περίπου ένα μήνα και είμαι απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος. Κανονικά προορίζεται για επαγγελματική χρήση, άλλα είναι αρκετά προσιτό και για οικιακή χρήση.

Το PoE λύνει τα χέρια στην τοποθέτησή του στο βέλτιστο σημείο, αφού αρκεί μόνο το καλώδιο του δικτύου και δε χρειάζεται να το τοποθετήσετε κοντά σε πρίζα ή να τραβήξετε προέκταση για ρεύμα. Έτσι είναι πολύ εύκολο να βελτιώσετε την κάλυψη του χώρου σε σχέση με το κλασικό ασύρματο router που συνήθως πρέπει να είναι κοντά στην πρίζα του τηλεφώνου. I got it for home use, thinking it would meet my needs. I was wrong. Easy installation, but that's about it.
The POE adapter with a 25m cat6 cable probably doesn't meet the power requirements of the AP because when I set it to high transmit (or auto) power, it struggled and reset.
In terms of bandwidth, in the same room without interference, it reached a maximum of 100-120Mbps on the 5GHz band. At 4 meters and 2 walls in between, it ranged between 15-50Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. At 6 meters and beyond, with an external wall, there was no signal. The ax3600 with Chinese firmware that I have covers as much space as three of these in a row, and where the ubiquiti reached 10-50, the Chinese one reaches 400+ (iperf3).
You can only adopt the AP to one controller, and that controller can only be on one device. So you can only control the AP from one point. If you're troubleshooting between the controller on a desktop computer and the AP in another room, be prepared for a lot of walking.
From my experience, this device is meant for open spaces and multiple devices with low bandwidth each. Offices, stores, etc. Not for home use. The rating is based on home use.
The numbers I mention are actual performance, not nominal (iperf3 on a server with Ethernet using an edgerouter X erx), and the channels are obviously the least occupied.
Το πήρα για οικιακή χρήση θεωρώντας ότι θα κάλυπτε τις ανάγκες μου. Έκανα λαθος. Εύκολη εγκατάσταση, αλλά μέχρι εκεί.
Το POE adaptor με 25m cat6 καλώδιο μάλλον δε καλύπτει τις ενεργειακές απαιτήσεις του AP γιατί όταν έβαζα high transmit (ή στο auto) power ζοριζοταν και έτρωγε reset.
Από bandwidth, στο ίδιο δωμάτιο χωρίς παρεμβολές μέγιστο τα 100-120Mbps στη 5ρα. 4 μέτρα 2 τοίχοι, έπαιζε μεταξύ 15-50Μbps στη 2ρα. 6 μέτρα και μετά ένας εξωτερικός τοίχος, καθόλου σήμα. Το ax3600 με κινέζικο firmware που έχω καλύπτει τόσο χώρο όσο 3 τέτοια στη σειρά και εκεί που έπιανε 10-50 το ubiquiti, πιάνει 400+ το κινέζικο (iperf3).
Μπορείς να κάνεις adοpt το ap σε ένα controller μόνο και αυτός ο controller μόνο σε μια συσκευή. Οπότε μόνο από ένα σημείο μπορείς να ελέγχεις τα ΑP. Άμα κάνεις troubleshooting μεταξύ controller σε σταθερό υπολογιστή και ap σε άλλο χώρο, ετοιμάσου για πολύ περπάτημα.
Από την εμπειρία μου αυτή η συσκευή είναι για ανοιχτούς χώρους και πολλές συσκευές με μικρό bandwidth η κάθε μία. Γραφεία, καταστήματα κτλ. Όχι για σπίτι. Η βαθμολογία αφορά την οικιακή χρήση.

This specific Access point is definitely very good. I have it and I know.
Just one advice. If in case there are interferences in your space from various other signals and there is no way to avoid it, know that this AP will not save you, and I am referring of course to the 2.4 frequency.

Μια συμβουλή μόνο. Εάν σε περίπτωση υπάρχουν παρεμβολές στο χώρο σας από διάφορα άλλα σήματα και δεν υπάρχει τρόπος να το αποφύγετε να ξέρετε ότι αυτό το AP δεν θα σας σώσει και αναφέρομαι φυσικά στην 2.4 συχνότητα.
I bought the Unifi AP AC Lite to use in combination with a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X ER-X in a 90 sqm space with relatively thick walls. It replaced a Speedport Plus. I am completely satisfied with the Edgerouter, as it has eliminated any device connectivity issues and provides flawless internet distribution.
However, I can't say the same for the Unifi AP AC Lite. Its range is slightly better than the Speedport, especially for mobile phones. The 5 GHz signal doesn't really reach beyond 2-3 meters, and even in a room a few meters away, I sometimes have a mediocre signal with only 3 bars. I think for a 90 sqm space, 2 Lite units are needed.
If someone has a small space up to 50-60 sqm, thin walls, or the ability to install 2 Lite units with wiring to the router, then this device is a good choice. However, if someone wants to cover a space of 70-100 sqm with just one AP, it might be better to invest a little more for the Unifi AP AC LR.
UPDATE 21-7
I ended up buying the AP AC LR hoping for better signal on the 5 GHz band. However, I didn't see any difference in either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bands. So, I am upgrading the Lite to 5 stars for my own use. It has slightly better range than the Speedport Plus (I did a better comparison and there is a difference), significantly better stability, and is cheaper than the LR.
Αγόρασα το Unifi AP AC Lite για να το χρησιμοποιήσω σε συνδυασμό με έναν Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X ER-X σε έναν χώρο 90 τμ με σχετικά χοντρούς τοίχους. Αντικατέστησαν ένα Speedport Plus. Από το Edgerouter είμαι απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος, σταμάτησαν τα όποια κολλήματα στις συσκευές και μοιράζει το ίντερνετ άψογα.
Από το Unifi AP AC Lite όχι ανάλογα ομολογώ. Η εμβέλεια του είναι λίγο ανώτερη του Speedport, ειδικά για κινητά τηλέφωνα. Το σήμα των 5 Ghz δεν πάει πραγματικά πάνω από 2-3 μέτρα μακριά και με ένα κινητό έχω μέτριο σήμα ακόμα και σε ένα δωμάτιο λίγα μέτρα πιο πέρα κάποιες φορές έχω 3 γραμμές σήμα. Νομίζω πως για έναν χώρο 90 τμ χρειάζονται 2 Lite.
Αν κάποιος έχει μικρό χώρο μέχρι 50-60 τμ, ή λεπτούς τοίχους, ή μπορεί να εγκαταστήσει 2 Lite με καλωδίωση στον router η συσκευή είναι καλή επιλογή. Αν όμως θέλει με ένα AP να καλύψει χώρο 70-100 τμ τότε ίσως θα ήταν καλύτερα να δώσει τα λίγα παραπάνω για το Unifi AP AC LR.
ΕΠΙΚΑΙΡΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ 21-7
Αγόρασα τελικά το AP AC LR ελπίζοντας να έχω καλύτερο σήμα στα 5 Ghz. Τελικά δεν είδα καμία διαφορά ούτε στα 2,4 ούτε στα 5. Οπότε αναβαθμίζω το Lite σε 5 αστέρια για τη δική μου χρήση. Λίγο καλύτερη εμβέλεια από το Speedport Plus (έκανα μια καλύτερη σύγκριση και υπάρχει διαφορά), σημαντικά καλύτερη σταθερότητα και φθηνότερο από το LR.
OK very good access point, but keep in mind that:
1. You will need to install the controller software to be able to manage it on a PC/server. Unfortunately, I don't have Windows, but with a little effort, I installed it on RHEL.
2. To make the AP work, you need to auto discover/adopt it, and to do that, you need to disable the firewall.
3. It can work in standalone mode through a mobile device, but it has very limited configuration options, so it's better to use the controller.
4. It has a very strange way of setting different SSIDs for 5.8 and 2.4 GHz.
Other than that, it seems stable. I have switched all my devices to 5G, luckily they all have the capability (I have over 20 Wi-Fi devices) except for the Sonoff plugs, and they work perfectly.
ΟΚ πολύ καλό access point, αλλά έχετε υπόψη ότι:
1. Θα χρειαστεί να εγκαταστήσετε τον controller software για να μπορέσετε να το κάνετε manage, σε κάποιο PC/server. Δυστυχώς δεν έχω Windows, αλλά με λίγη προσπάθεια το έβαλα σε RHEL
2. To AP για να το δουλέψεις, πρέπει να το κάνεις auto discover/adopt και για να μπορέσει να γίνει αυτό πρέπει να ρίξεις το firewall.
3. Μπορεί να δουλέψει σε standalone μέσω κινητού, αλλά έχει πολύ περιορισμένο configuration, οπότε καλύτερα μέσω του controller.
4. Εχει πολύ περίεργο τρόπο να σετάρεις διαφορετικά SSIDs για 5.8 και 2.4 G.
Κατά τ' 'αλλα φαίνεται σταθερό. Εχω γυρίσει όλες τις συσκευές μου σε 5G, ευτυχώς έχουν όλες τη δυνατότητα (έχω πάνω απο 20 wifi συσκευές) εκτός από τις sonoff πριζες και πάνε σφαίρα.
Having tired of the shortcomings of small, cheap, and widely known Access Points, I decided to try something a little more expensive but much higher quality for my home. This particular one can be considered nothing less than an Access Point capable of professional use. It will provide absolute speed and stability at home. I will never have to restart it. Nor will I ever have to deal with it. It simply works everywhere and always.
The only sacrifice you will have to make is that access to the admin console is mandatory through a computer (you cannot press an IP from your tablet/mobile and log in because it requires a PC/laptop to first run the server emulator to give you access, etc.).
The initial setup and configuration you would like to do is not difficult for someone who knows/understands some basic things, but on the other hand, I wouldn't say it's for beginners.
As for capabilities, I don't know if it makes sense to enumerate them. It covers extreme cases in terms of networking, let alone the "basics" (Dual Band, Wi-Fi scheduling, MAC filtering, Guest access, Hotspot, Signal strength, etc.). The PPoE is very convenient, meaning it doesn't need a separate power supply and works only with the LAN cable.
The futuristic design with its soft lighting means you won't need to "hide" it in a corner and you can easily have it in a visible spot.
Highly recommended for experts and beginners who have a friend who can help them set it up (because they will never need it again).
Έχοντας κουραστεί με τις παθογένειες των μικρών, φθηνών και ευρέως γνωστών Access Point, αποφάσισα να δοκιμάσω για το σπίτι κάτι λίγο πιο ακριβό αλλά πολύ πιο ποιοτικό. Το συγκεκριμένο δε μπορεί να θεωρηθεί τίποτα λιγότερο από ένα Access Point ικανό για επαγγελματική χρήση. Στο σπίτι θα προσφέρει απόλυτη ταχύτητα και σταθερότητα. Restart δε θα το κάνω ποτέ. Ούτε θα ασχοληθώ ποτέ μαζί του. Απλά παίζει παντού και πάντα.
Το μόνο που θα χρειαστεί να θυσιάσετε είναι ότι η πρόσβαση στο admin console του γίνεται υποχρεωτικά μέσα από υπολογιστή (δε μπορείτε από το tablet/κινητό σας να πατήσετε μία IP και να κάνετε Login γιατί θέλει PC/laptop που να τρέξετε πρώτα το server emulator που έχει για να σας δόσει πρόσβαση κλπ).
Το αρχικό setup και configuration που θα θέλατε να κάνετε δεν είναι τίποτα το δύσκολο για κάποιον που γνωρίζει/καταλαβαίνει κάποια βασικά πράγματα, αλλά από την άλλη δε θα το έλεγα ότι είναι για αρχάριους.
Από δυνατότητες δε ξέρω αν έχει νόημα να απαριθμήσω. Καλύπτει extreme περιπτώσεις ως προς το networking, πόσο μάλλον για τα "βασικά" (Dual Band, Wi-Fi scheduling, MAC filtering, Guest access, Hotspot, Signal strength κλπ). Πολύ βολικό το PPoE που σημαίνει ότι δε χρειάζεται ξεχωριστή παροχή ρεύματος και δουλεύει μόνο με το καλώδιο LAN.
Το φουτουριστικό design με τον απαλό φωτισμό του σημαίνει ότι δε θα χρειαστεί να το "κρύψετε" σε κάποια γωνιά και μπορείτε να το έχετε κάλλιστα και σε εμφανές σημείο.
Highly recommended για τους γνώστες και για τους αρχάριους που έχουν κάποιο/α φίλο/η που μπορεί να τους βοηθήσει να το setάρουν (γιατί μετά δε θα ξαναχρειαστεί ποτέ).

Fantastic Access Point, I used 6 pieces to set up a wireless network in a 2-story old school with thick cement walls. Just to give you an idea of the range, I used 3 devices at a distance of 70 meters from end to end (8 rows of classrooms). Very easy installation, the controller directly recognizes and automatically sets up each new device (adopt). The most positive aspect is the zero lag when switching from one AP to another. I highly recommend it, even for home use.
Φανταστικό Access Point, χρησιμοποίησα 6 τεμάχια προκειμένου να στήσω ασύρματο δίκτυο σε σχολείο 2 ορόφων παλιάς κατασκευής με πολύ χοντρούς τσιμεντένιους τοίχους. Πολύ εύκολη εγκατάσταση, ο controller αναγνωρίζει απευθείας κάθε νέα συσκευή και τη σετάρει αυτόματα (adopt). Το πολύ θετικό είναι το μηδενικό lag από τη μεταπήδηση από ένα ap σε ένα άλλο. Το προτείνω 100% και για οικιακή χρήση.

The purchase of this was made from the largest worldwide department store abroad. Smaller than the AP UAP, the basic one that I have and also in the store for customers. The setup is easy if you are a user of UBIQUITI or experienced with networking products. Stable and very fast. Its range inside the house (100 sqm) is excellent as it seems to have good reception even with 2 walls in between. It has more customization compared to what I have in the store and a better way to be placed on the ceiling or wall. Some may encounter a problem installing the controller with the port 8080. I have had this Access point for about a month and I am completely satisfied. It is normally intended for professional use, but it is also quite affordable for home use.
The reason I chose it is because of its dual band support (2.4 & 5 GHz) as well as the ability to be powered through the UTP cable (Power-over-Ethernet). With most devices now supporting 5 GHz, the problem of interference that exists at 2.4 GHz is solved. PoE makes it easy to place it in the optimal location, as only the network cable is needed and there is no need to place it near a power outlet or use an extension cord for power. This makes it very easy to improve the coverage of the space compared to the traditional wireless router that usually needs to be near the telephone outlet. Even if the space is very large, you can use more than one, and with the provided software, you can manage them all from one management environment.
Έχω αυτό το Access point περίπου ένα μήνα και είμαι απόλυτα ευχαριστημένος. Κανονικά προορίζεται για επαγγελματική χρήση, άλλα είναι αρκετά προσιτό και για οικιακή χρήση.

Το PoE λύνει τα χέρια στην τοποθέτησή του στο βέλτιστο σημείο, αφού αρκεί μόνο το καλώδιο του δικτύου και δε χρειάζεται να το τοποθετήσετε κοντά σε πρίζα ή να τραβήξετε προέκταση για ρεύμα. Έτσι είναι πολύ εύκολο να βελτιώσετε την κάλυψη του χώρου σε σχέση με το κλασικό ασύρματο router που συνήθως πρέπει να είναι κοντά στην πρίζα του τηλεφώνου. You can only adopt the AP to one controller, and that controller can only be on one device. So you can only control the AP from one point. If you're troubleshooting between the controller on a desktop computer and the AP in another room, be prepared for a lot of walking.
From my experience, this device is meant for open spaces and multiple devices with low bandwidth each. Offices, stores, etc. Not for home use. The rating is based on home use.
The numbers I mention are actual performance, not nominal (iperf3 on a server with Ethernet using an edgerouter X erx), and the channels are obviously the least occupied.
Το πήρα για οικιακή χρήση θεωρώντας ότι θα κάλυπτε τις ανάγκες μου. Έκανα λαθος. Εύκολη εγκατάσταση, αλλά μέχρι εκεί.
Το POE adaptor με 25m cat6 καλώδιο μάλλον δε καλύπτει τις ενεργειακές απαιτήσεις του AP γιατί όταν έβαζα high transmit (ή στο auto) power ζοριζοταν και έτρωγε reset.
Από bandwidth, στο ίδιο δωμάτιο χωρίς παρεμβολές μέγιστο τα 100-120Mbps στη 5ρα. 4 μέτρα 2 τοίχοι, έπαιζε μεταξύ 15-50Μbps στη 2ρα. 6 μέτρα και μετά ένας εξωτερικός τοίχος, καθόλου σήμα. Το ax3600 με κινέζικο firmware που έχω καλύπτει τόσο χώρο όσο 3 τέτοια στη σειρά και εκεί που έπιανε 10-50 το ubiquiti, πιάνει 400+ το κινέζικο (iperf3).
Μπορείς να κάνεις adοpt το ap σε ένα controller μόνο και αυτός ο controller μόνο σε μια συσκευή. Οπότε μόνο από ένα σημείο μπορείς να ελέγχεις τα ΑP. Άμα κάνεις troubleshooting μεταξύ controller σε σταθερό υπολογιστή και ap σε άλλο χώρο, ετοιμάσου για πολύ περπάτημα.
Από την εμπειρία μου αυτή η συσκευή είναι για ανοιχτούς χώρους και πολλές συσκευές με μικρό bandwidth η κάθε μία. Γραφεία, καταστήματα κτλ. Όχι για σπίτι. Η βαθμολογία αφορά την οικιακή χρήση.
Τα νούμερα που αναφέρω είναι πραγματική απόδοση και όχι ονομαστική (iperf3 σε server με ethernet με edgerouter X erx) και τα κανάλια προφανώς τα λιγότερο κατειλημμένα.
The installation and connection are quite easy, but the performance is very good. I have a wireless speed of 225 Mbps on my mobile, it couldn't be better.
Οι τοποθετηση και η σύνδεση του είναι αρκετά εύκολη αλλά η απόδοση του είναι πολύ καλή, έχω ταχύτητα 225 mbps ασύρματα στο κινητό μου πιο καλά δεν θα μπορούσε να ναι.
It is set up immediately with unlimited customization options and settings. It is aesthetically pleasing. It never crashes. However, do not expect anything different in terms of range than, for example, another one that costs 25€.
Στήνεται αμέσως με απεριόριστες δυνατότητες ρυθμίσεων και παραμετροποίησης. Είναι καλαίσθητο. Δεν κολλάει ΠΟΤΕ. Μην περιμένετε όμως από εμβέλεια κάτι διαφορετικό απ'ότι πχ ένα άλλο των 25€.
Super easy connection, instant use. With the app that you can download, its setup is a piece of cake. I use it in a professional space of 60 sqm and its coverage is really good, even outdoors.
Πανεύκολη σύνδεση, Άμεση χρήση. με την εφαρμογη που μπορειτε να κατεβασετε η ρυθμιση του ειναι παιχνιδακι. Το χρησιμοποιω σε επαγγελματικο χωρο 60 τ.μ. και η κάλυψη του είναι πάρα πολύ καλή ακόμα και στους εξωτερικούς χώρους.
Excellent product but not suitable for the average user. Excellent features and good quality. It is the fourth same AP in the space (home / 3 floors) and with proper channel adjustment and intensity, the result is as it should be - about 50 wireless devices and several roaming constantly without any issues
Εξαιρετικό προϊόν που όμως δεν απευθύνεται στο μέσο χρήστη. Εξαιρετικές λειτουργίες και καλή ποιότητα. Είναι το τέταρτο ίδιο AP στο χώρο (σπίτι / 3 ορόφους) και με κατάλληλη προσαρμογή/ρύθμιση καναλιών και έντασης το αποτέλεσμα είναι όπως πρέπει - περίπου 50 ασύρματες συσκευές και αρκετές κάνουν roaming συνεχώς χωρίς κανένα θέμα,
