Many changes have taken place in the Greek Economy and Greek Universities over the last few years. These changes have significantly affected the field of Accounting, aiming to present a modern, updated, and practical book, with new topics and approaches, within the framework of International Literature and International Accounting Standards (I.F.R.S.).

The abolition of the Books and Records Code, the mandatory application of International Accounting Standards both in the European Union and in our country, the rapid development of Accounting Information Systems, the mandatory preparation and publication of short-term Financial Statements, and the necessary preparation of sectoral (segment) Statements, necessitated the revision and modernization of Financial Accounting.
