Der verzauberte Turm (Metal Box) is a smaller version of the large children's game Der verzauberte Turm. In the game, the wizard has locked the princess in a tower, and Robin is trying to find the key hidden by the wizard and find the correct lock before him.

The metal edition of the game features a smaller board, while the key and lock collection mechanisms have been modified to fit the smaller packaging size.

Other differences:

  • Fewer spaces to hide the key (12 instead of 16)
  • The wizard must cover 6 spaces before entering the board (instead of 8)
  • The tower has 5 locks instead of 6
  • The end condition of the game for the wizard is different. Instead of freeing the princess, the wizard takes the key and the round continues. The wizard wins after 5 victories.
