About the Game:

The next installment in the Etrian Odyssey Untold series is essentially two games in one – the first, an update for the Nintendo 3DS of Etrian Odyssey 2: Heroes of Lagaard (which was released on the Nintendo DS) with new dungeon layouts and graphics, as well as systemic improvements from the recent Etrian Odyssey Untold. The second is the Untold part – an entirely new story with a set party, voiced dialogues, and animated scenes following the bittersweet tale of Knight Fafnir and Princess Arianna. Like Persona Q, the Untold part of the game has a strong focus on characters and their interactions as the story of Knight Fafnir and Princess Arianna unfolds while the characters wander through the ruins of Ginnungagap and the Yggdrasil Labyrinth with hero Flavio and two mysterious wanderers, Bertrand and Chloe.

Main Features:

  • Creatures of Comfort: Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold has a refinement level that can only come from seven versions of the game. The significantly improved gameplay mechanics make Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold easily accessible to newcomers, yet it remains challenging for more experienced players.
  • New Addition: The game features an entirely new character class, Fafnir. Available only in the game’s Story mode, Fafnir allows players to transform into a demonic, monstrous form to enhance attributes and abilities – potentially turning a tough battle into a narrow victory.
  • Bring a Blanket: As in Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl and Persona Q, in addition to normal difficulty, players can choose the Picnic mode for a low-difficulty experience or more experienced players can opt for Expert mode for a challenging adventure.
