Every measurement requires new batteries. We have two lasers, and both have the same problem. First, the batteries run out very quickly, and second, both show an incorrect battery reading, so you never know when they’ll let you down. They’ve let us down many times in the middle of measuring, so we’re constantly having to carry batteries with us. We replaced them with another brand and now we have peace of mind. Stay away
