The Boss ES-8 multi-effects unit is a programmable effects routing and switching system with eight loops and one additional loop. Its analog circuit design preserves the natural sound, while the routing order can be changed and parallel effects chains can be created. The footswitch functions can be customized.
The memory stores parameters for external control devices, such as delay time, for each program. The input and output signal buffers can be switched on or off independently and saved per program, while the output buffer level is adjustable. The footswitches feature a mute function to eliminate noise when switching, while the LCD and seven-segment LED display show operating information.
