Kazimir and Carolina live in a place, in a time, during the years of the Crisis. They start going to the party, but they will never arrive, as they will soon discover that their love was only up to a point. While Kazimir remains unemployed and sinks into anger and self-pity, Carolina dreams of improving her life and climbing a few steps on the ladder of social progress. Around her, like a carousel of the Luna Park, ambitious employees, managers, and consultants rotate, girls who sell their company to pay the rent, a small-time crook, and his depressive friend. Between dream and harsh reality, Carolina will climb and then fall back to the shore of the defeated everyday life. Who is to blame? Are people evil? No, people are neither good nor evil, says Horvat. They simply become a little more selfish with the economic crisis.
