Description

This book examines the major milestones of the Left from the origins of modernity to the governance of SYRIZA. The actions of the Left revealed from the outset that "socialism" was merely a different path out of despotism and not a superior evolutionary stage compared to "capitalism." The blood shed in the streets in the 20th century was about whether the ownership of the economy would belong to the state or the private individual, not about the participation of society in the system.

The collapse of real socialism revealed the universal agreement of the Left with the Right: in the political and economic system, in the purpose of politics, in the entrapment of society in individualism. Having moored their confrontation in the sharing of power, they ended up competing over which would serve the purpose of the markets more effectively.

The conservative mutation of the Left brought it face to face with the demand for the political emancipation of civil society. With the turn of the century, the Left will exit history. The SYRIZA Left, in this climate, having long raised the flag of the doctrine "neither Marx nor the Greek world," will fortify itself behind the reactionary semantics of "Enlightenment," to express in the most authentic way the most degenerate version of modern oligarchy, the partyocracy.

The sibling component of the "New Right," by definition, took on the task of "finishing off" Hellenism, with the "Albanization" of the Greek country.
