The ENERSYS Datasafe 12HX35FR battery is a 12V 35 watt/cell flame-retardant, High Rated VRLA - AGM technology battery, with a long life expectancy of up to 10 years and suitable for use in UPS systems with high demands.

Features of the Datasafe HX series:

  • VRLA (valve regulated lead-acid) technology and AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt).
  • Low self-discharge rate with a wide operating temperature range.

    I replaced it in the UPS with a previous smaller one in Ah that I had. It seems like a very good battery; I was recommended it as better than the corresponding one from Yuasa. For now, the autonomy of the UPS has increased by 25%. From its weight, it seems to be a reliable battery. I will return in a few months with new observations.

    Edit 2025. Well, the battery lasted almost 5 years. Without swelling, without cracking, and it still has some life left, but it was replaced preventively as it should be changed every 5 years.
