For the OfficeJet Pro 7740, the extremely expensive 1600 pages it promises there is NO way it will deliver! With every print, you see the level dropping in the software. It barely manages to print more than 300 to 500 pages, and that's only if you are very careful and print TEXT and not TEXT in Photo mode. Be VERY CAREFUL here, an important tip because some people take a photo with their mobile and send it directly to the printer for printing. In this case, it's like you've sent 200 pages of TEXT for printing, because it tries to print shadows, etc.

What can one say... Genuine ink = the printer works well and produces nice prints. It has plenty of ink inside (it is noticeable even in the weight of the cartridge).

Very good ink but it has become ridiculously expensive, just like the entire 953 series. The 957xl, which was a somewhat cheaper solution for black, seems to no longer be available.

I bought it together with the printer to have a second one in case the first one runs out. Today, when the previous one ran out, I went to change it and the printer doesn't accept it because it says it's an older generation... It's for an HP Officejet Pro 7720. It's not the wrong model. It's exactly the same as the one I took out. From what I read, HP at some point made a firmware update to the printers and they don't accept older ink cartridges - it's 2 months older than the one I had before. So when you buy HP ink, apart from the model, you should also check the date.... 40 euros wasted. HP support didn't help me at all, they told me that the printer doesn't accept it to protect itself from old ink cartridges... whatever.

I tried some refurbished ones. Unfortunately, I regretted it. Their quality was below average and they didn't last as long as the originals. Also, the quality of the refurbished ones is much worse than the quality offered by the genuine ones. The price may sting a little, but at least you have peace of mind.
