I bought 3 different ones from different stores in the last few months. And all 3 look authentic and have the additional crystal, even if it doesn't appear in the product image here.
The first one worked perfectly from the beginning and had relatively recent firmware.
The second one came with detached components in the power supply circuit of the breakout board, which did not provide the correct voltage and required modification with wire soldering for direct 3.3V supply on the HM-10. It works fine otherwise.
The third one seems to have some random firmware that, out of the few commands it supports, even fewer actually work to the point where it is not functional. The manufacturer responded that it is probably fake. To flash it with the original firmware, a procedure with additional wire soldering on the HM-10 is also required.
If you urgently need it and want to try your luck, you can order it from stores in Greece. It is good to have a soldering iron ready, unless I was the only unlucky one who received all the defective ones.
