Almost excellent charger, I've been using it daily for at least 4 years (can't remember exactly) for vaping with unprotected 21700 and 18650 batteries. It's really reliable, I don't feel any issues.
It has "revived" some old forgotten batteries for me, but it doesn't perform miracles (I don't know if there is a charger that does). They usually work fine but have some problems, they discharge quickly.
On the negative side, sometimes it loses contact with older batteries (where the top is slightly pushed in) or needs a little adjustment to make contact. If the front contacts were a bit further out, this problem wouldn't exist.
However, this doesn't bother me as much as how slow it charges at 0.5A, whether you have one or two batteries in it. We're talking about 6+ hours of charging. Generally, I prefer to charge at 0.5A, but sometimes having the option of 1A is good and not so bad for the batteries. I can't blame the charger entirely because it's mentioned somewhere in the specs. However, the VC4 charges at 1A in 2 out of the 4 slots, they are from the same generation... They should have used the same connector so it can work with them too.
Also, since it's now 2023, I mention that the connector is USB micro in case it breaks for someone.
Because of these two small negatives, I will deduct one star. On the positive side, it has been working flawlessly every day for so many years, incredibly reliable, and that's why I'm very happy with my purchase. On the other hand, I had a Nitecore before and it burned out within 1-2 years... Especially at the current price (around €10), it's great for anyone who wants reliability and isn't bothered by its negatives. I can easily understand if someone gives it 5 stars, I was also between 4 and 5. I hope the new VC (Plus, S, L, SL) models are equally reliable, that's the most important thing, and then the rest
Σχεδόν άριστος φορτιστής, τον δουλεύω καθημερινά τουλάχιστον 4 χρόνια (δεν θυμάμαι πόσο παραπάνω) για χρήση vape με unprotected μπαταρίες 21700 και 18650. Σκυλί πραγματικά, δεν νιώθει τίποτα.
Μου έχει "αναβιώσει" και κάποιες παλιές ξεχασμένες μπαταρίες, αλλά εντάξει θαύματα δεν κάνει (δεν ξέρω αν υπάρχει και κάποιος φορτιστής που κάνει). Συνήθως δουλεύουν οκ αλλά είναι προβληματικές, ξεφορτίζουν γρήγορα.
Στα αρνητικά, που και που χάνει λίγο επαφή με πιο παλιές μπαταρίες (που έχει μπει το top λίγο πιο μέσα) ή θέλει λίγο γύρισμα για να τις πιάσει, αν οι μπροστινές επαφές ήταν λίγο πιο έξω δεν θα υπήρχε αυτό το πρόβλημα.
Δεν με ενοχλεί αυτό όμως τόσο, όσο το πως φορτίζει πολύ αργά στα 0.5A, είτε έχεις μια είτε δύο μέσα. Μιλάμε για 6+ ώρες φόρτισης λοιπόν. Γενικά θέλω να φορτίζω στα 0.5Α αλλά πολλές φορές το 1A είναι καλό να υπάρχει και δεν είναι τόσο κακό για τις μπαταρίες. Δεν μπορώ να ρίξω όλο το φταίξιμο στον φορτιστή γιατί αναφέρεται κάπου στα specs. Το VC4 όμως φορτίζει στο 1A στις 2 απο τις 4 θέσεις, ίδιας γενιάς είναι... Ας βάζαν το ίδιο βύσμα και σε αυτόν να τα πιάνει.
Επίσης επειδή είναι 2023 πλέον, αναφέρω πως το βύσμα είναι USB micro αν χαλάει αυτό κάποιους.
Γι' αυτά τα 2 μικρά αρνητικά λοιπόν θα του κόψω ένα αστέρι. Στα θετικά, τόσα χρόνια δουλεύει κάθε μέρα απροβλημάτιστα, τρομερά αξιόπιστος και γι'αυτό είμαι πολύ χαρούμενος απο την αγορά μου. Αντιθέτως πιο πρίν είχα Nitecore και μου κάηκε μέσα σε 1-2 χρόνια... Στην τιμή ειδικά που είναι τώρα (περίπου 10€), είναι σούπερ για όποιον θέλει αξιοπιστία και δεν τον χαλάνε τα αρνητικά του. Εύκολα λοιπόν καταλαβαίνω αν κάποιος του δώσει 5*, μεταξύ 4 και 5 ήμουν κι εγώ. Ελπίζω οι νέοι VC (Plus, S, L, SL) να είναι το ίδιο αξιόπιστοι, αυτό είναι το πιο σημαντικό και μετά τα υπόλοιπα
