Some information that may help, but the user manual that comes with it should also be read in Greek.

Width 13 millimeters, height 7.5 (I think they don't mention it)
Also, something that is not mentioned is that there is memory for 10 stations in each band.

With each button press, the blue light stays on for 3 seconds (I think it's the same time so as not to consume more battery, as it only works with 2).

It has a lock so that if buttons are pressed by mistake, nothing changes.
However, even with the lock, if a button is pressed, the screen will light up again (3 seconds), which personally I find a bonus in low lighting.

The speaker is relatively small (equally the radio) but powerful and above all very clear.
The sound has a scale from 0-16... the only complaint from me (and not a defect, for others it may be okay) is that at 1 the sound should be lower.
I say this because at night I leave it on until I fall asleep, it's a bit loud for absolute silence even at 1.

The sleep timer has options from 00, 90, 80, 70... up to 10 minutes, with 00 it stays on until we turn it off or the battery runs out.

The alarm clock is good and indeed plays with sound activation from a station or with a siren... but be aware... if we forget the volume at 1,
it will play at the same level as the alarm clock (if we leave it on a station to notify us), but personally I didn't buy it exclusively for its alarm clock.
It's not a mistake, it's mentioned in the instructions.

For reception, it's very good on all bands, and the DX option is very good if the station is close or if there is interference from other stations on the same frequency.
For full receiver sensitivity in weak signals (which is great in reception), DX must be active (it shows on the screen).

It has 6 SW bands, ideal if someone wants to listen to amateur shortwave, weather, fishing boats, or news from Voice of America, China, Greece, BBC, etc.
If you want it for shortwave, connect a longer cable (e.g. from a TV) to help with reception.
(It's not a radio defect, shortwaves just require a very large antenna in some cases)
And of course, it's excellent as it is in FM/AM reception, in many cases I open the antenna halfway and I'm not close to the stations.

Fortunately, when changing batteries, the station memories remain, only the clock needs to be reset.

There is no option for power supply as the user manual says (I suppose it's hidden under the side plug of the headphones, if it exists),
but I think it doesn't need DC, the 2 AA batteries (small ones) work very well for me.
I tried 2 simple alkaline Chinese ones (very cheap) that were expired (I had bought a quantity of them and they remained)...
and at volume 1-2 (the volume matters) it lasted around 12 hours that I had it on...
the performance didn't seem to decrease (due to high consumption) and of course, the batteries had more life left.

The batteries (I put empty ones for testing) when they reach the end, an indication flashes on the screen and also a small red LED at the bottom of the front panel.

I believe the radio is honest and worth the price, I like the design, the color (white/black), and the size is okay for portable use.
If I find some kind of case for protection, it will be even better.
From what I remember, AKAI was Japanese

We are talking about a small cheap radio (see dimensions) and I judge it purely on the subject of worldwide radio reception... I want it when I'm outside for sports, easy radio, and because I was abroad, for shortwave.

Clear LCD display, small speaker but also with clear sound, sensitive receiver.

I think the radio is worth the money, it is quality, simple, and very easy to use (each button does its job, no need to press the button twice to make another adjustment). I like the black and white color and its style. All the buttons in one place (front), which I believe is better, I have learned it even in the dark, with touch I know what each button does from its position.

With the headphones, the sound is not stereo, but it can play the stations with the antenna down because it gets power from the cable, so it fits in a bag, sack, big pocket, etc.

-Dimensions 13X7.5, meaning we are talking about a small radio.
-Clear display, the blue backlight lasts for 3 seconds with each button press (I think it's very good because other radios have the light on continuously and it drains the battery).
-Clear sound, volume 0-16.
-The lock locks even if the radio is off (requires 2 presses) and it won't open in a bag.
-EDIT, 2 cheap (maplin) and expired (old stock) long-life AA batteries played continuously for 19 hours with low sound (1-3) with only changing through the memory in era sport & easy... with good alkaline batteries, it will definitely last much longer.
With rechargeable Sony 1900 mAh batteries, it lasts for 7+ hours continuously (of course, with higher mAh, more usage).
-Low battery indication, a LED lights up/down low on the front, but there is also an indication on the screen.
-6 SW bands... FM/MW all with great reception, I am far away from the stations and I only open the antenna halfway (FM), and on SW it captures much better than other radios I have.
-DX for when the station is very strong or other stations fall on the same frequency, for weak signals, DX must be active.
-10 memories for each band (AM, FM, SW1-6) or a total of 80 memories.
In battery replacement, fortunately, the memories remain, the clock does not.
-Sleep timer from 00,90,80-10... with 00, it plays continuously.
-Alarm plays with a station, but be careful, the sound with the radio alarm will have the volume we last set, be careful if it is set low, we may not wake up (the same with some other radios, so if you are interested in the alarm, be careful with other radios too).
On the other hand, others can find this method useful because they won't disturb their neighbors if they are sleeping.
With a beep-beep siren, it has a fixed volume wherever we leave the sound volume.
-It does not take DC from any power supply.
I believe it is a fair price.

The only negative for me is that the sound at level 1 is not low enough for my requirements (sometimes I use it when I sleep), for others, it may not be an issue.

The radio (at least for me) has the peculiarity that when the batteries reach 1.35 volts (2.70 each, I informed AKAI about this), whether they are long-life or rechargeable (measured with a multimeter), it shows low battery and shuts down... guys, the batteries are not completely empty, don't throw them away... In small devices, they have enough life, for example in a small weather station it lasts 4-6 months, in a small scanner it lasts another 4-6 hours, in a small LED flashlight it lasts 6-8 hours. Also, when they "cool down," for example if we reopen the radio after a short time, like 5 minutes, the batteries last a little longer. I recharge the 1900 mah rechargeable batteries after only 5-7 hours since they are not completely empty (they don't need another 12-15 hours, since they are half full).

If you look at reviews on pll displays of well-known brands (such as Sony, Roberts Radio, etc.), they take 3-4 batteries with the same amount of time (5-20 hours at best) for use like this... in terms of receiver sensitivity, I can say it is better than some other well-known radios... and much cheaper in price, with the use of only 2 long-life batteries. I use it for 5-14 hours every day, it is here beside me wherever I go, even inside the house.

I don't know why the rechargeable Sony batteries (1.2v) last so little, they probably need more volts. I bought 2 Kodak Max batteries from the kiosk (which are not so top-notch in alkaline batteries) and the radio played continuously for 24 hours (sound level 1-3 and station change 2)... I left it closed for 2-3 minutes and then opened it again, it played for another 4 hours, a total of 28 hours. I think for a relatively large LCD display (for its size)... AMAZING with only 2 batteries!

● Since we will probably switch to digital DAB+ by the end of 2018, FM may be history... IF someone wants to have a digital worldwide reception radio in their collection or for any eventuality, I RECOMMEND IT, personally I find it excellent in every aspect.

UPDATE 18/5/2018!!!
Akai, through the representative Soundstar, sent another one for replacement... now the same Sony batteries 1.2v / 1900 mah last ► 54 hours continuously with the radio... however, now it has lost a bit of sensitivity to the stations and the sound is a little lower (they probably lowered the module/amplifier). Bravo to AKAI for dealing with a small radio that costs 15-20 euros
