The fact that it was worn on a mission to the moon says a lot about its build quality. However, the new version is battery-powered and not automatic like the old one. It is the cheapest moonwatch on the market. And I'm not even considering the rubbish from Swatch.
Το ότι φορέθηκε σε αποστολή στην σελήνη λέει πολλά για την ποιότητα κατασκευής του. Βέβαια η νέα έκδοση είναι μπαταρίας και όχι αυτόματο όπως το παλιό. Το φθηνότερο moonwatch της αγοράς. Και δεν υπολογίζω την σαβούρα της swatch.
The chronograph watch has a huge history, worn on Dave Scott's wrist during the Apollo 15 mission in 1971 when the Omega Speedmaster provided by NASA failed and he ended up wearing the Bulova Moonwatch that was gifted to him by the American Bulova at the time. Scott auctioned off his watch in 2015 and it fetched a price of $1.6 million, and I am very certain that when it goes up for auction again, its value will skyrocket. In my opinion, a replica of this unique watch should be a part of every collection.
The pros of the watch are its durability, accuracy, and size. It is heavy on the wrist, and for some, this characteristic may be a negative. The overall finish is very good. The leather strap that accompanies it does not do it justice as it is made of cheap synthetic leather. Purchase a quality leather strap. The accompanying velcro NATO strap is much better. I wear it with an aftermarket NATO strap and it is excellent. Buy it with your eyes closed!

To ρολόι χρονογράφος έχει τεράστια ιστορία, φορεμένο στον καρπό του Dave Scott στην αποστολή Apollo 15 το 1971, όταν το Omega Speedmaster που του είχε παράσχει η NASA απέτυχε και φόρεσε τελικά το Bulova Moonwatch που του είχε κάνει δώρο η αμερικανική τότε Bulova. Ο Scott έβγαλε σε δημοπρασία το ρολόι του το 2015 και η τιμή που έπιασε ήταν 1,6 εκατ. δολάρια μόλις και είμαι πολύ βέβαιος ότι όταν θα ξαναβγεί σε δημοπρασία θα 10άσει την αξία του. Η ρέπλικα αυτού του μοναδικού ρολογιού, κατά την άποψη μου, δεν πρέπει να λείπει από καμία συλλογή.
Στα συν του ρολογιού είναι η στιβαρότητα, η ακρίβεια και το μέγεθος. Είναι βαρύ στον καρπό και για κάποιους μπορεί αυτό το χαρακτηριστικό να είναι αρνητικό. Είναι πολύ καλό το συνολικό φινίρισμα. Το δερμάτινο λουράκι που το συνοδεύει το αδικεί γιατί είναι φτιαγμένο από φθηνό συνθετικό δέρμα. Αγοράστε ένα ποιοτικό δερμάτινο λουράκι. Το velcro NATO strap που το συνοδεύει είναι πολύ καλύτερο. Το φοράω με ένα after market NATO strap και είναι εξαιρετικό. Αγοράστε το με κλειστά μάτια!

Παρέλαβα επισκευασμένο το ρολόι από εταιρεία και βλέπουμε πώς θα πάει.
It is a beautiful simple watch. I have put the Nylon, NATO watch strap because I have a large wrist. However, for those with smaller wrists, the leather strap looks elegant.
Είναι ένα όμορφο απλό ρολόι. Έχω βάλει το λουράκι ρολογιού Nylon, NATO γιατί έχω μεγάλο καρπό. Ωστόσο, για όσους έχουν μικρότερο καρπό, το δερμάτινο λουράκι φαίνεται κομψό.
The watch is perfect even though I have only owned it for a month.
For fans of this particular chronograph style, get it with your eyes closed..
