Educators are dedicated to helping children learn. However, their choices regarding language, culture, pedagogy, and parental involvement also reflect the social reasons that revolve around their class in relation to these issues.
Schools prepare 21st century students for a reality where cultural diversity is the norm on the international and domestic scene.
Are educators prepared for this educational diversity? Do they understand the attitudes, behaviors, stereotypes, and possible prejudices that they and their students may have towards these minorities? Can they change them?
