From the few pedals that give you the feeling of an amplifier in terms of dynamics and how it reacts to the guitar's potential. It has 2 settings, which have a huge difference, providing versatility. The first setting is the low peak, which is more transparent and does not enhance any particular frequency. This specific function is excellent when used as an always-on basic amplifier sound, which is on the verge of distortion and works wonders with a strat-type guitar with reduced volume pot, as it provides volume and sustain without distortion. The second setting is the high peak, which has higher intensity, more gain, and boosts the high mids. I prefer it with humbucker pickups, chasing AC/DC-type sounds and generally 70's rock. The pedal can accept from 9v to 18v. The more volts, the greater the intensity and the clarity of the sound. On the downside, the Gain pot is almost useless when it exceeds the middle, as the sound becomes very saggy and simply compresses to the point where it resembles fuzz. In conclusion, it is a very good in-your-face hard clipping overdrive, perfect for rhythm guitar like Malcom Young's and more.
