The quality of the game is excellent! The board and cards are filled with dark colors that perfectly capture the feeling of an H.P. Lovecraft story. The locations, the villains, and the characters truly feel like they are taken straight out of his stories.
The pace of the game is excellent, there is no downtime as you try to close gates and fight cultists and Sogoth, while also preventing madness from overtaking you each round.
I must say I did not get bored playing this game. I found it fun to cooperate with friends as we tried (and failed) to stop Cthulhu from emerging.
The only downside to this game is that it is a bit difficult to learn. The instructions are excellent and fairly well-structured. But if it's your first time playing a Pandemic-style game, you may encounter some difficulties (the first time). But after two or three times, you'll be fine.
Overall, it's a fantastic game that I highly recommend getting if you have the chance.
