This study addresses examples where our emotions, if they do not find the suitable recipient who can contain them, become trapped within us and can torment us for years. Emotions such as fear, pain, jealousy, and envy seek the appropriate "other" to find an outlet and relieve the person who is suffering.

This role can be played by someone very close to us, someone not as close but with a similar mental reality, or the analyst in the analytical context.

Regardless, the main goal is always to break the barriers of our self and soften our pain.
