Quite a good telescope to start with. However, I cannot recommend it to anyone as long as the Celestron Astromaster 130eq is out there. Slightly better mirror, yes, but with a 10mm eyepiece, the right size for amateur astronomers.
The powerseeker comes with 2 eyepieces, one of 20mm, good for initial spotting, and one of 4mm which is useless. Yes, you can buy a 10mm eyepiece for the 127eq, but it will cost you 80€.
Furthermore, if you are not willing to really get involved, then eq tripods are not for you, as they have a bit of a learning curve to set up correctly.
