Forty-three years after its first edition, the autobiography of the legendary hijacker, who became the symbol of Palestinian resistance as well as the dignity of oppressed people around the world, is now available in Greek from A/continuation publications.
This reading speaks not only of Khaled but of an entire people who continue, like her, to resist proudly and by any means necessary. Through the pages of the book and her personal story, the narrative of the long-suffering Palestinian people unfolds, from the Nakba (the destruction by the Israelis) in 1948, the geopolitical games of the West and Israelis, to the hypocrisy of the "friends" of Arab countries toward Palestinian refugees and the emergence of Khaled's generation.
Khaled gave life to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and fiercely claimed (and continues) by any means the liberation and independence of Palestine. Likewise, she fights for a more humane world, a goal that is always at the center of teacher Leila's struggle.
The edition includes historical photographs and a recent interview with Leila Khaled, currently responsible for the Refugees Department and the Right to Return of the PFLP, of which she is also a member of the Political Bureau. Leila Khaled is also a member of the Palestinian National Council.
